PCA—Described as a museum springing to life, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is the largest event held during the famed Monterey Classic Car Week, and is the only event where cars are doing what they were originally intended to do…race. Approximately 550 race cars are invited to compete in the world’s premier motoring event, and are accepted based on the car’s authenticity, race provenance, and period correctness. The event relives motorsport history at the iconic circuit, which has been the scene of America’s golden years of sports car racing since its inception in 1957.

PCA—The Spring Member Only Raffle is open with a stunning grand prize: a Cayman GT4, the most performance-oriented model in the Cayman lineup. PCA—It's the track-focused Porsche you've been waiting for: the 911 GT3 RS. And Porsche Panorama Editor Pete Stout is in Germany to test it out for the first time. Of course that means that we'll read his review of the 500-horsepower 911 in the magazine soon, but to satisfy the here and now, he's bringing us live updates of the test on our Facebook page.
Automobile—Porsche’s most radical 911, the new GT3 RS, is all about emotions. Here’s proof: After about 200 hard-charging nonstop kilometers on a busy autobahn, deodorant switches to overload as fingers cramp over the suede-rimmed wheel, and eyes burn from attempted clairvoyance. Is that van going to pull out? How to read the stoplights that just disappeared over the brow? Has highway maintenance finally smoothed the corrugated approach to the Bärental bridge? At an indicated 158 mph in fifth gear on the 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, these things matter. And there are two more gears to go.

However, many PCA members do happen to drive non-Porsche models, and it’s important for them to know if their vehicle is affected by faulty airbags. We are both driving on the Dulles Toll Road that connects Washington, D.C., to Dulles International Airport. The stretch is also a high-tech corridor for many companies, including North America's headquarters for Audi and Volkswagen, and AOL is nearby, too.

The Taos News—The tight turns and narrow lanes of The High Road to Taos Scenic Byway might make some drivers queasy.  But Bill Kaltenbach and his fellow members of the Porsche Club of America-Road Runner Region relish the High Road's obstacles. Kaltenbach's 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo was one of nearly 60 cars to make the drive Friday (May 22) on the High Road from Santa Fe to Taos as part of the club's Fiesta New Mexico.

Car and Driver—The next-gen Porsche 911, due to be launched about four to five years from now, will most likely be available as a plug-in hybrid, according to sources familiar with the project. Internally called the 992, the fully redesigned model will be powered by turbocharged flat-six engines; four-cylinder models are possible, but an unlikely option.

CarBuzz—Spied wearing practically zero camouflage, this is the Porsche 911 facelift the carmaker plans to unveil at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. So, can you spot the upgrades that Porsche has planned for the 991 model? Look closely and you’ll see the bumpers have been restyled. The integrated LED DRLs up front have new graphics, while the rear bumper is sporting some extra air outlets to handle the turbochargers the newly-developed 2.5-liter six-cylinder engine will receive.

INAUTONEWS—Another example of the rare, exotic and impressive Porsche 918 Spyder is being offered for sale, this time in Miami.

If you have missed out on your chance of becoming an owner of the Porsche 918 Spyder, don’t be sad because the second-hand market may have what you need, for the right amount, of course, which is higher than the original asking price of $845,000.
MotorAuthority—We’ve already pointed out what separates the latest 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS from the standard Carrera, but here’s a great visual representation direct from the German sports car marque. It shows the new Carrera GTS being put through its paces at the Porsche Experience Center at Silverstone in the U.K., whose dedicated track has just been extended with even more challenging sections.

Porsche—Porsche has issued a global recall for 918 Spyder models that have already been delivered. This precautionary recall for a service inspection affects 223 vehicles in the United States. This is because the electric wiring harness for a radiator fan in vehicles manufactured up until the end of April 2015 could be damaged by a carbon-fiber component. The wiring harness will be examined and optimally remounted in the work shop.

PCA—The Porsche Club of America will hold it's second annual Werks Reunion Friday, August 14, 2015. It is the premier Porsche event during the world-famous "Monterey Car Week" on California's Monterey Peninsula. Thousands of spectators are expected to descend on the fairways at Rancho Cañada Golf Club and will be treated to a stunning display of more than 700 Porsches — from “rat rods” to garage queens — and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow car enthusiasts.

Motoring—Porsche has sold more than 600,000 Cayennes since the large luxury SUV first appeared back in 2002. Nowadays there is a comprehensive line-up of Cayennes, including this petrol-electric S E-Hybrid. Identifiable from the rest of the range by its iridescent green badging and brake callipers, it is the first plug-in hybrid in the luxury SUV segment. Porsche has also ensured it’s competitively priced – at least against other Cayennes. But there is another set of numbers that don’t work so well for the S E-Hybrid…
