PCA—Porsche Parade always attracts Porsches of all types, and this year in French Lick, Indiana was no exception. Members often find themselves in the company of the rarest Porsches, a category for which this special 1985 Porsche 911 Speedster qualifies.
In 2015, PCA is not only celebrating its 60th year, but it is happy to be publishing the 700th issue of
Porsche Panorama this month, after 60 years of continuous publication. PCA and Panorama would like to thank our members for making this milestone possible. Take a look back at a selection of Panorama covers from the past 60 years (click here), and be sure to read “Back Story” in this month’s issue for insight into how the magazine’s covers have changed over the years.

PCA—Experience the exhilaration of driving your Porsche through history. Roam the hills with free-ranging buffalo, mine for gold at an old miner’s camp, explore some of the world’s largest caves, dine where
Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok once called home, tour monuments like Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Escape to Rushmore 2015 is an event that you will not want to miss.
Autoblog—The recipe for the 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder cooked up a meal that everyone loved. Yes, even with the three-piece, Erector Set canvas top that took one journalist 30 minutes to lower the first time. Boiled down, the 2011 model was a Boxster S with 10 extra horsepower
and 176 fewer pounds, graced with accelerated reflexes.
Porsche—Today's GT Le Mans (GTLM) class victory by Porsche Factory Drivers Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet, in the No. 911 Team Porsche North America 911 RSR, made it two wins in a row for Porsche in the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship (TUSC) series.
EVO—While it might not be the Porsche Le Mans car everyone is talking about right now, with the prize winning 919 hybrid still being hot off the press, the LMP1-98 WSC-95 is still an iconic
race car.
PCA Web Store—Stay cool and show your love for PCA at
the same time. Double wall-insulated clear 26 oz. tumbler with spill-resistant thumb-slide lid and straw. Keeps drinks both hot and cold. Virtually unbreakable, lifetime guarantee, top-rack dishwasher safe, FDA and Prop 65 compliant, BPA free. Height: 8-5/8 inches.
Car and Driver—The word Porsche usually brings to mind images of sleek, fast, and stylish sports cars. A little-known fact is that Porsche also built and designed tractors, like this beautifully restored 1959 Porsche-Diesel Super.
MotorWard—After proving that the Porsche Cayman GT4 accelerates like a stabbed rat in this 0-285 km/h test, the guys at Motorsport Magazine decided to track the car and see how it does lap time-wise.
MultiBrief—Back in grade school, I remember finding a fictional story in the school library about racing at Le Mans and poring over it cover to cover several times. If I recall correctly, it was set in the 1950s and followed the exploits and competition between various drivers wielding Jaguars and Ferraris around Circuit de la
Sarthe in the traditional 24-hour-long endurance test.
Porsche—Porsche delivered 20,831 new vehicles globally to customers in June 2015 – an increase of 28 percent compared with the same month last year. (Ed.: Scroll down to the next article for a more in-depth analysis of Porsche sales numbers by The Wall Street Journal.)
The Wall Street Journal—Porsche AG has found a new weapon, beside its mojo as an iconic sports-car brand, to help it race ahead of rivals: the swooning euro.
Earlier this year, Lutz Meschke, Porsche’s finance chief, was cautious about whether the
car maker would be able to deliver on its goal of a 15% pretax profit margin. Slowing growth in China, economic turmoil in emerging markets and a consumer shift toward cheaper versions of expensive cars, he said at the time would mean Porsche had to work “damn hard” to achieve its target.
Opposite Lock via Jalopnik—Here are the three most important facts you need to know about this hand-built, Subaru-powered Porsche 917 tribute : 1. It isn’t a Laser. 2. It isn’t complete. 3. It has “two Subaru Tribeca engines bolted together to make a 12 cylinder boxer.” The project lit up the internet when it first listed on eBay last August with a $40,000 starting bid. Today, it’s just
looking for an offer.
Atlanta Journal-Constitution—It’s official. The doors are now open to Restaurant 356 on the complex of the new Porsche Experience Center and headquarters in Atlanta.
A recent Fortune headline gushed, “Porsche’s new U.S. headquarters is unbelievably posh.” And so it seems is the contemporary fine dining
restaurant...
PCA/Auctions America—Since 2013, Auctions America has enjoyed a successful entrance into the notoriously difficult Southern California collector car auction market, posting record results at each of its events to date. The upcoming July 17-18 auction is set to continue the momentum at the Barker Hangar, lifting the gavel on a handpicked selection of 300 quality vehicles.
CarScoops—When Jean “Charlie” Huth heard that a Porsche 918 Spyder was being delivered at Rusnak Westlake Porsche, he didn’t wait for an invitation. The 23-year old photographer raced to the dealership to ogle the pricey super car.
“I am a bit of a Porsche geek, and this is about as cool as it gets,” he says.
CarBuzz—The Porsche 959 is a vehicle that needs no introduction, but for those that are unfamiliar with the vehicle, here’s a quick recap. It was Porsche’s first supercar and was one of the best cars ever engineered. Besides decimating other Group B rally cars, the 959 was one of the world’s fastest production cars.
TopSpeed—It’s not exactly unusual for high-performance cars to return to the test track a few months after being revealed in production guise, but the 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS’ recent comeback to the Nurburgring track raises more questions than it answers. Is there something wrong with the new GT3 RS? Is Porsche working on a few updates or, and this would be the most spectacular scenario,
maybe testing a new model altogether?

PCA—As you may know, Porsche and PCA are giving away one 911 GTS Club Coupe in a sweepstakes, and all that's required to be automatically entered is an up-to-date primary membership when the sweepstakes ends on August 1. Remember to renew, or join PCA if you're not yet a member.
To read the terms and
conditions for the sweepstakes, take a look at the official sweepstakes rules document.
