PCA—If you wanted to see the biggest gathering of Porsches at last week's Monterey Car Week, PCA Werks Reunion was the spot to be. Rancho Cañada's fairways were filled with more than 700 Porsches and thousands of spectators who came to see them. Concours results will be posted to WerksReunion.com soon.

PCA is also extending the Werks Reunion Facebook photo contest until 9 PM EST this Monday, August 24. And we're now giving away a set of Michelin tires! Read the rules in the Facebook post embedded in the following page.

Display your Porsche at Rennsport Reunion V
PCA—Porsche Club of America and Rennsport Reunion V are looking for display cars. We are looking for fine examples of all Porsche models to be included in the Historical 60 Years of PCA display at RRV.

It will be a display representing all six decades of PCA, with the goal  of showcasing limited edition models as well as race cars. Our display will be on the grass area near the island. We will need your car for all three days, Friday through Sunday, September 25-27.

If you have a Porsche street or race car that you would like to be considered, please contact Tom Provasi at tomprovasi@gmail.com and supply a brief description of your vehicle and a photograph of the car.

PCA—Please take our 60-Second Survey included twice a month in e-Brake News. We want to know more about our members! All primary, family, or affiliate members are encouraged to participate.

We are gradually introducing new membership questions in addition to questions from the previous survey in 2012. We hope to learn how our club’s demographics have changed over time, and, more importantly, how we can improve your membership experience. AutoWeek—We believe we've just seen an auction price record set for a stock Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera that'll hold for a long time, though it shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. The Porsche 930 in question was owned by Steve McQueen, and over the weekend the car that belonged to the King of Cool brought $1.95 million at the Mecum Auctions sale in Monterey on Saturday.

Reuters—Aug 17 A German prosecutor has charged Porsche SE's former communications chief with aiding market manipulation related to the purchase of Volkswagen shares, after dropping identical charges against Porsche's supervisory board last week.

The prosecutor in Stuttgart said on Monday that former Porsche communications chief Anton Hunger had been charged with helping former chief executive Wendelin Wiedeking and ex-finance chief Holger Haerter to prepare and publish alleged false statements they made between March and October 2008 during Porsche's botched attempted takeover of Volkswagen.

We sampled wine from several wineries, visited a historical race track (Langley Speedway), and had a fantastic meal at a beach restaurant in White Rock, British Columbia.”
