As you know, Porsche Club of America delivers e-Brake News to your inbox every Tuesday. This is the May monthly recap.

1. Porsche quietly unveils new Black Edition 911 and Boxster models

PCA—Yesterday when I visited Porsche's US website, I saw that five new model variations had been added to the list: four 911 Black Editions and one Boxster Black Edition. Only base models will get the special treatment, which should be thought of as a bargain-priced high-end trim package.

3. Porsche Cars North America officially opens new Atlanta headquarters

PCA—It was a big day for Porsche Cars North America on Thursday with the official opening of its Porsche Experience Center (PEC) and headquarters in Atlanta.

The significance is clear: the new headquarters is the single largest investment the automaker has made in North America.

5. Models covered by expanded Takata air bag recall

PCA/Yahoo—By now you’ve probably heard about the Takata airbag recall that has affected millions of vehicles worldwide, and we’re happy to report that Porsche models are unaffected. However, many PCA members do happen to drive non-Porsche models, and it’s important for them to know if their vehicle is affected by faulty airbags.
