Porsche—The Cayenne model line experienced another strong month in May, with 1,392 units sold, an increase of 7.6 percent compared to May 2014. Year-to-date, 20,915 Porsche vehicles have been delivered, up 11.1 percent compared year-over-year to 2014.

Black Flag via Jalopnik—He makes keeping 500 horsepower together on a track look so easy!

The thing about rally legends like Walter Röhrl is that the cars they pushed towards victory back in the day had lots of power but not such wizardry as carbon brakes, a magnesium roof, carbon body panels, a PDK automatic gearbox, rear-wheel steering or torque vectoring.
XCAR—The latest generation of GT3, the 991, is here and the manual gearbox has been banished. PDK all the way but has that killed the appeal of this monster?

Porsche—The No. 23 Team Seattle/The Heart of Racing Porsche 911 GT America won its second TUDOR United SportsCar Championship GT Daytona (GTD) class race of the season today. The 100-minute Chevrolet Sports Car Classic was the third consecutive win for the GTD bespoke 911 GT America in four races run this season. The victory on the temporary street circuit built on Detroit’s Belle Isle Park was the second of the season for the Alex Job Racing-prepared car and its driving combination of Ian James (Phoenix, Arizona) and Mario Farnbacher (Germany). The pair also won the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in March.

PCA—The Porsche Club of America will hold it's second annual Werks Reunion Friday, August 14, 2015. It is the premier Porsche event during the world-famous "Monterey Car Week" on California's Monterey Peninsula. Thousands of spectators are expected to descend on the fairways at Rancho Cañada Golf Club and will be treated to a stunning display of more than 700 Porsches — from “rat rods” to garage queens — and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow car enthusiasts.

Bloomberg—Newly minted Chinese millionaires have long heralded their status by buying big, expensive cars such as Porsche’s Cayenne SUV. The penchant of rich mainlanders for flaunting their wealth is a big reason that China is set to dethrone the U.S. as the luxe automaker’s biggest market this year.

But after a government crackdown on graft and conspicuous consumption, growth in luxury-car sales is slowing, and Chinese buyers are settling for less opulent models.
