PCA—PCA visited the LA Auto Show last weekend and witnessed the world premiere of the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport race car. As exciting as that was, soon after we spoke with GT4 Clubsport Project Manager Matthias Scholz about the car.

PCA—Some days are just better than others, and the opportunity to drive new Porsches at a race track would rank pretty high on any car enthusiast’s list. The Porsche World Roadshow was on its last stop two weeks ago at Sonoma Raceway, after touring locations throughout the US since July. Located just north of San Francisco in wine country, the raceway’s challenging full road-course track and parking lot autocross provided a lot of insight into the driving potential of Porsche’s most popular models — and, of course, entertainment.

PCA—Porsche took the cover off the recently announced Cayman GT4 Clubsport today at the Los Angeles Auto Show, an entry level race car that will compete in the PCA Club Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport Trophy East and other race series around the world.

Porsche Motorsport North America starts selling the GT4 Clubsport today with an MSRP of $165,000.

PCA—Today PCA members were treated to an exciting event at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Porsche Club Preview Event. This year, the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport was a star of the show, a purpose-built race car that will compete in the PCA Club Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport Trophy East in 2016.
PCA—Today is a day for learning about the technical aspects of our Porsches, as Porsche Cars North America hosts PCA at its West Coast training facility in Ontario, California. We have several presentations throughout the day covering everything from Porsche diagnostics, how to purchase a used Porsche, theory of braking, paint correction, a presentation on the Cayman GT4, and more.

Racer—2015 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Street Tuner class champions CJ Wilson Racing has announced its intention to graduate full-time to the Grand Sports class of the series for 2016. The Austin, Texas based team will run two new Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport cars in all 10 races starting at the BMW Performance 200 at Daytona on Jan. 29.

KSBW.com—The Porsche Rennsport Reunion V, held this past September at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif., was today named Motorsport Event of the Year at the fifth annual International Historic Motoring Awards, in association with EFG International and Octane magazine. 
Road & Track—We talk a lot about Porsches around here, but there's a reason. Many, actually. Feeling. Also redemption, speed, underdogs, arrogance, comeuppance. PCA—​Join your fellow Porsche Club of America members at Porsche Parade 2016, Jay Peak, Vermont. 

Parade is PCA's annual, weeklong event when thousands of members descend upon a new location every year to explore in their Porsches — often in Parade-organized driving tours — in addition to other events such as autocross, concours, time-speed-distance and gimmick rallies.
PCA—PCA—The Executive Council has appointed Ken Hold, Bluegrass Region; Jennifer Webb, Upper Canada Region; and Tom Provasi, Loma Prieta Region as members of the 2016 Nominating Committee. The committee is carrying out its responsibilities in accordance with the Bylaws, the National Manual of Procedures, and the Region Procedures Manual. Its goal is to consider, identify, and select the best possible slate of candidates to fill the Officer roles in our Executive Council and lead the Porsche Club of America for the next two year term. As part of this process, the Committee actively seeks feedback from PCA’s regions on those talented individuals who have the enthusiasm, dedication, and leadership to serve on the Executive Council. UPDATE (11-5-2015): The deadline to get suggestions to any member of the committee has been extended to no later than December 31, 2015.
