PCA—Though not as rare as seeing Halley’s Comet, catching a glimpse of Janis Joplin’s Porsche 356 out in the wild is pretty high on the list of rare occurrences. That fact made the car’s appearance at this year’s Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP) in July quite special and a moment not to be missed.

PCA—A couple years ago PCA visited Camisasca, the company that manufacturers PCA license plate frames, and made a video of the manufacturing process. Perhaps you've seen it. Motorsports.com—​Porsche has confirmed that IndyCar driver Juan Pablo Montoya will test with Le Mans 24 Hours champion team next month.

This year's Indianapolis 500 winner will sample LMP1 machinery for the first time in Bahrain on Sunday November 22, the day after the final race of the 2015 FIA WEC season.
The Sports Car Guys—The Porsche 968 Club Sport is the track focused version of the German performance car maker’s last front-engined four-cylinder car. The car is powered by a 3.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine. To keep the handling neutral the transaxle is located at the rear making for near perfect 50/50 weight distribution when coupled with the front engine.

Bloomberg—Volkswagen AG’s “dieselgate” isn’t the only scandal involving the German automaker, as the company’s major shareholder, Porsche SE, and its two former executives face a trial on market manipulation charges.

Former Porsche Chief Executive Officer Wendelin Wiedeking and Chief Financial Officer Holger Haerter are scheduled to go on trial Thursday over their role in a failed takeover of Volkswagen in 2008.

PCA—The Executive Council has appointed Ken Hold, Bluegrass Region; Jennifer Webb, Upper Canada Region; and Tom Provasi, Loma Prieta Region as members of the 2016 Nominating Committee. The committee is carrying out its responsibilities in accordance with the Bylaws, the National Manual of Procedures, and the Region Procedures Manual. Its goal is to consider, identify, and select the best possible slate of candidates to lead the Porsche Club of America for the next two year term. As part of this process, the Committee actively seeks feedback from PCA’s regions on those talented individuals who have the enthusiasm, dedication, and leadership to serve on National Staff.
