PCA—We recently took a trip to the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta, and as luck would have it, about a dozen 718 Boxster and Boxster S models had just arrived for dealer training. We took the chance to speak with PCNA's Andrew Lennon about some of the technical details about the car.

PCA—How does 3 Grand Prizes sound? Enter today and help us make it happen! Members have a choice between the new 718 Boxster S or the Macan GTS should they buy a winning ticket. All entries submitted by the June 1 deadline will be accepted.

PCA—Phase 2: Event Registration to PCA members is still open. All registrations made later than May 21 include a $60 late fee. Registration closes June 5. Everyone attending Parade will need to participate in Phase 2 Event Registration to select their meals and activities for the week.

PCA—The next Porscheplatz will be at the Chevrolet SportsCar Classic on Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan, on June 3 and 4. Our Porscheplatz will feature a “Porsches Only” Car Corral parking and a Hospitality Tent where you can relax, watch the races on cable TV and hear presentations by Porsche Motorsports and Park Place Motorsports.

Automobile—The hunchback from Zuffenhausen, also known as the Porsche Panamera, is no more. The new 2017 Porsche Panamera—it goes on sale in the U.S. in early 2017—is a brand-new design based on the Volkswagen Group’s trend-setting Modular Standard Platform (MSB) architecture, and in early 2019 the Panamera will also come in station-wagon form.

Road & Track—It's Round 4 of the 1994 Japanese Grand Touring Championships, and the first corner of this race alone is near insanity: a horde of Skylines, Toyota Supras, and Porsches elbowing each other sideways to break across that first right hander.

PCA—Described as a museum springing to life, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is the largest event held during the famed Monterey Classic Car Week, and is the only event where cars are doing what they were originally intended to do…race. Approximately 550 race cars are invited to compete in the world’s premier motoring event, and are accepted based on the car’s authenticity, race provenance and period correctness.

PCA—Werks Reunion, the premier Porsche event during “Monterey Car Week,” is back on August 19. The concours and car show at Rancho Cañada Golf Club is free to spectators and will have a field of up to 1,000 Porsches, with 924/944/968 and 928 as the featured model ranges.

Carbuzz—The Porsche Cayenne's come a long way since the model was first introduced in the early 2000s. What started out as a butt ugly SUV many saw as the degenerate black sheep of the Porsche family has evolved into a less hideous and very impressive luxury 4x4 with high enough profit margins to help fund development of exciting sports car models like the latest 911 R.
 
PCA—Porsche Club of America's newest event, Treffen North America starts this September with Treffen Lake Tahoe, Sept. 7-11. The website is now live and contains information about upcoming and future Treffen's. Registration has been pushed back to June 15.

Curbed Atlanta—The firm responsible for designing Porsche's Atlanta base near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport just scored a hat-tip for its work on Porsche Cars North America Headquarters and Experience Center at the 2016 Annual Design Excellence Awards.
 
Sportscar 365—The iconic silver and red Flying Lizard livery will return to a Porsche in top-level GT racing next month, with the Sonoma, Calif.-based team set to field a GTA class entry in selected Pirelli World Challenge rounds this year.
 
 Autoweek—Patrick Long, Michael Schein and Alec Udell won in Saturday's GT, GTA and GT Cup race, respectively, at the Pirelli World Challenge Grand Prix of Canada presented by Audi at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The race was GT/GTA Round 8 and GT Cup Round 7 of the 2016 season.
