PCA—Larry and the Mistress (his 1999 911 Carrera) tangoed at their second Drivers Education event at NOLA Motorsports Park, which was sponsored by the Mardi Gras Region PCA. In a moment of weakness I agreed to go along. I wanted to show Larry I wasn't threatened by the object of his affection and maybe learn a few things.

TopSpeed—This year’s Sebring 12 hours proves that America’s oldest endurance race can still throw a curveball. This time, rain played hazards for the almost 50-strong grid. It got so bad that a little over two hours of the race were actually spent under red flag conditions, the first time since 1995.

CarScoops—​​​​​​​A Reddit user uploaded screenshots with prices of parts for the Porsche 918 Spyder and, surprise; there are a lot of zeros in there. 

We all know that a million dollar car is going to have mega maintenance costs and if you take into consideration the sheer complexity of the 918 Spyder’s hybrid powertrain, then it’s no surprise that Porsche is asking for eye-watering amounts of money should you need a new part.
 
 Bloomberg—Former Porsche Chief Executive Officer Wendelin Wiedeking and ex-Chief Financial Officer Holger Haerter were acquitted of charges of manipulating Volkswagen AG shares during a failed takeover, a decision that may derail hedge-fund lawsuits seeking billions over the issue.

Racer—The first time proved to be a charm for Bodymotion Racing’s new Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport in IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge competition. Cameron Cassels and Trent Hindman combined to give Porsche’s new turnkey race car its first victory in international competition, winning Friday’s Sebring 150.

Robb Report—The 911 Targa 4 GTS didn’t receive as many first-place votes as some of its higher-powered and higher-priced competitors, but many judges said that of all the Car of the Year entrants, the Porsche is the vehicle they would most likely buy. “It’s a true driver’s car,” said Trevor Philips. “It’s not the most powerful, but it offers the best experience between car and driver.”

Petrolicious—Hans Stuck, undisputedly one of the best drivers of all time, refers to Derek Bell MBE as hands down one of, “the most-liked drivers of his generation.” It’s not hard to see why—spend 5 minutes chatting with the man and you’ll be drawn straight into his wiley, beaming grin and larger-than-life yarns.
 
The Verge—Porsche just announced that 15,600 of its employees will receive a record annual bonus of €8,911 ("911" as in "Porsche 911," get it?) for the past year. That works out to about $9,885 — €311 more than employees received last year, which company chairman Oliver Blume says is thanks due to "achieving such an exceptional result in what is by no means an easy environment."
