PCA—Last year Mark Woudsma brought his 1981 Porsche 928 to compete in the Werks Reunion concours — a great experience, to be sure. It got much better when his name was pulled out of the hat by Michelin's Johnny Valencia and he won a trip to the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta.

PCA—The 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (WTSC) Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park is going to be terrific and its only three weeks away. Instead of two WeatherTech SportsCar classes, there will be three – including what many consider the most exciting IMSA divisions, GT Le Mans (GTLM) and GT Daytona (GTD). The starting field will also include Prototype Challenge (PC) cars.

For the first time since Grand AM and ALMS cars raced at Lime Rock, PCA and Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) will host our Porscheplatz during the WTSC races.

Car and Driver—A rose by any other name might smell as sweet, but what if that rose had a four-cylinder engine? That’s the dilemma raised by the new Porsche 718 Cayman S, the replacement for a car that was pretty much perfect and one that has traded its predecessor’s charismatic flat-six for a new turbocharged flat-four. We know that engines everywhere are downsizing these days, but this one feels like a personal affront.

PCA—Werks Reunion, the premier Porsche event during “Monterey Car Week,” is back on August 19. The concours and car show at Rancho Cañada Golf Club is free to spectators and will have a field of up to 1,000 Porsches, with 924/944/968 and 928 as the featured model ranges.

Road & Track—It may very well be said that without the sausage-shaped vehicle above, Porsche may never have had a racing program; at least, not one so ingrained from the beginning. Walter Glöckler was a motorcycle racer and car dealer in Frankfurt who became an early adopter of this strange new automobile known as the Porsche.

Jalopnik—In the classic film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, a young boy fulfills his dream of working on a deranged man’s assembly line made of candy. The only thing more verifiably nuts than the insane premise of the story was the factory itself, with its unorthodox methods of creating something from nothing. As it turns out, Willy Wonka’s factory ain’t got nothing on Porsche’s mammoth Leipzig plant.

The Smoking Tire via YouTube—TPC Racing of Jessup, Maryland has been adding turbochargers to Porsche Caymans and Boxsters for nearly a decade. With no modificiations to the engine besides the turbo kit itself, a 986-era Porsche Cayman S will gain nearly 100 Wheel Horsepower with one of these kits. TPC was kind enough to invite me to Summit Point, West Virginia, to test one.
 
Black Flag via Jalopnik—If you thought choreography was just for dancing, you’ve clearly never seen a quick pit stop. Here are a few up-close shots of IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge team CJ Wilson Racing fueling and swapping out drivers and wheels on their Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

Auto Express via YouTube—The Ferrari 488 GTB is the first turbocharged, mid-engine Ferrari since the legendary F40 in the 80's. That is a lot of pressure for a new supercar to live up to, but the Fezzer shone through in our first drive in Italy.

LeftLane News—Some of the vehicles were manufactured with screws improperly swapped between the seat belt mount and reel mount. The original parts catalog incorrectly transposed the locations, potentially misdirecting factory workers to install the parts in the wrong place.

Car TV via YouTube—The 2017 Porsche Panamera Gives You 550HP, Lots of Tech and Better Looks. (Ed.: The video is in German with subtitles, but it's worth a watch if only to see the test driver manhandle the new sedan at the Nürburgring.)
 
Road & Track—You might think Porsche has been fighting the idea of a mid-engine racecar forever, but the automaker has actually been doing quite the opposite. This is the Porsche 910 (or Carrera 10), a factory produced Porsche racer with a mid-mounted engine.

The Telegraph—It wasn't even a cold start. There was heat in the four-cylinder block and the engine fired up immediately. But the ensuing cacophony was the worst I have ever heard from any internal combustion engine of any stripe. Something was clearly wrong, so I switched it off and looked at the dash. No, all was normal. I tried again, with exactly the same result.

MultiBriefs—​​​​​​​You probably know plenty about the off-road capabilities of the Porsche Cayenne and Macan, but did you know the German performance car maker has a long history of off-road vehicles? Dating back to the mid-'50s vehicles produced by Porsche have proven capable when the pavement ends.
 
AutoEvolution—​​​​​​​The open-top Porscha was recently spied testing on the Nurburgring, with the I-see-you episode including a delicious drift performed by the Mk II 991.

The Smoking Tire via YouTube—Though the purists may not be down with Porsche's new "all turbo" lineup of sports cars, I have to admit - I'm on board with it. From the base Carrera which is now a legitimately fast car, to the new 4S, which I fell in love with during our week with the car.

Motor Trend—Our spy photographers recently caught the third-generation Porsche Cayenne testing on idyllic roads in Spain. Despite some camouflage, we can see the Cayenne doesn’t stray too far from its roots.

Car and Driver—Whenever a significant revision to the Porsche 911 comes along, there’s a worry that everything we loved about Zuffenhausen’s classic GT could be lost. Perhaps the only generations to be regarded as a wholesale improvement over their predecessors were the 993- and 997-generation cars.

AutoEvolution—Roughly four decades ago, a test mule left the Porsche R&D center in Weissach with a V8 under its hood. Forty years later, Porsche manufactures V8 gasoline- and diesel-fed engines for the second generation of the Panamera at a new plant in Zuffenhausen.

 Road & Track—Porsche has three factories. The one in Stuttgart that everybody knows about, the Weissach plant where they do the special projects like the 918 Spyder, and Leipzig, home of the Macan and the new Panamera.
 
Reuters—Porsche aims to keep its profit margin running at a double-digit percentage of sales in the coming years, Chief Executive Oliver Blume said on Friday, benefiting from more efficient production while boosting spending on its first all-electric car.
 
PCA—Described as a museum springing to life, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is the largest event held during the famed Monterey Classic Car Week, and is the only event where cars are doing what they were originally intended to do…race. Approximately 550 race cars are invited to compete in the world’s premier motoring event, and are accepted based on the car’s authenticity, race provenance and period correctness. Car corral tickets are sold out, but bring your Porsche key and/or member card for access to hospitality tent.
