PCA—A Porsche had never finished the NORRA Mexican 1,000 rally — until this past April, when a team fielded two 964 Carrera 4s to conquer the inhospitable terrain over five days of off-road racing.

PCA—I’m a motoring journalist, which means I get to see a lot of cars. This familiarity sometimes breeds contempt, and I find myself ignoring various Ferraris, Aston Martins, and McLarens that other people would drive for hours to see at a show. F430s, DB9s, MP412Cs… all a bit ‘meh.’

PCA—Get ready for Werks Reunion Monterey once again, the premiere Porsche show during Monterey Car Week. Porsche Factory Driver Patrick Long will be a guest speaker. Michelin will bring three competition Porsches driven by Jeff Zwart: 1992 964 Carrera 4 rally car, 2002 GT2 Pikes Peak car, and 2010 GT3 Cup Pikes Peak car. Free admission for spectators. Please note the new location at Corral de Tierra Country Club.

PCA—Two significant Porsche gatherings took place in the Pacific Northwest in the same week this past July: the Porsche Parade in Spokane, Washington and the Emory Porsche Campout Reunion in McMinnville, Oregon. Driving 400 miles west from the Parade to the Campout the temperature dropped ten degrees, but the most noticeable change in atmosphere was something less tangible — the vibe. While the Parade follows certain rules and standards the attitude at the Campout is more laissez-faire.
 
PCA—A popular PCA member benefit is The Mart, the club’s classifieds section online and in each issue of Porsche Panorama. Mart Fresh is a bi-weekly column in which PCA media staff pick what they think are the "freshest" Porsches currently available, and then attempt to explain their reasoning. Up this week are a 1986 928, 2012 Cayenne manual, and 1974 914 2.0.

Rennlist—Fifteen years translates to 5,479 days. That’s approximately how long #ProjectStork was in a coma as it sat gathering dust in my mother’s garage. It took only four Fridays of wrenching at Haynes Manuals headquarters to get it running again. If you’ve already watched the video above, then you know how happy Project Stork’s resurrection has made me. If you’ve seen and read about all three episodes of the Project Stork saga, then you know the emotional ups and downs I’ve endured as I’ve embarked upon restoring the 1977 Porsche 911 S that brought me home from the hospital after I was born.

Luckily for Bobby, he happens to possess a magic card “that pays for everything.”
 
Road & Track—In 1987, on A 15.5-mile test oval in Ehra-Lessien, Germany, a 469-hp twin-turbo Porsche 911 went 211 mph. Only it wasn’t technically a Porsche—it did not wear a Stuttgart VIN and was known legally as a Ruf CTR.

Motor1—It looks like the next-generation Porsche Cayenne will have some distinct differences between models. Just a couple of weeks ago, we got a glimpse of a new Cayenne with a subtly tweaked nose. Now we get a look at another one with a much different front fascia.
 
Motor1—The 718 Cayman range only has the standard and S versions for the moment, but the family is all set to grow soon when Porsche will unveil the GTS. Spotted from a close distance undergoing final testing, the hotter version of the coupe was not shy to exhibit the body changes it’s going through to distance itself from the S.
