| | PCA—PCNA President and CEO Klaus Zellmer told us over a year ago that Rennsport Reunion VI (RRVI) was already scheduled for 2018, but wouldn’t give any other details. Well, it’s official now: The sixth Rennsport Reunion will remain at Laguna Seca and will be held September 27-30, 2018. PCA will take part in and help facilitate the festivities as it has in past Rennsport

PCA—In collector car vernacular, a “pickled” car is an example kept obsessively like new with freakishly low miles. Whether the owner
intended the car to be an investment or simply used it as a contemplative object rather than an automobile, pickled cars are an interesting phenomenon in the collector car world. | | PCA—In 2016, PCA Club Racing added two new programs to complement the traditional program that’s been going strong since 1992: GT4 Clubsport Trophy East and Vintage classes.
With several PCA Club Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport Trophy East races on the 2017 calendar and four race
weekends supporting the vintage classes, we decided to highlight a recent weekend at Monticello Motor Club. It was the first time both of the new programs had been held at the same time.

Motor1—Porsche celebrates the 40th birthday of the 928 grand tourer at the Nürburgring’s AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix by pulling some unique examples out of the archives. In addition to showing a newly restored example of the V8-powered coupe, the company brought the four-door and convertible concepts for the 928. | | |
Jalopnik—Porsche has settled a class action lawsuit out of court from a bunch of owners claiming they had to go and buy polarized sunglasses because the dashboard trim in their car was blinding in sunlight. Owners with the affected cars can get up to $175 in compensation. This is all hilariously insane. |
| | Road & Track—The Porsche 991.1 GT3, built from model year 2014 to 2016, got off to a rough start—engine fire risks sidelined the first 785 cars delivered, forcing Porsche to replace all of their engines. Then, some GT3 owners began noticing misfires at high RPMs, leading a US group of "concerned owners" to send a letter to Porsche executives to talk about the problems they were
experiencing. |
