The idea was born after watching the Targa Newfoundland on TV (near, but not in, Nova Scotia), and when I realized I didn’t have the time, the money, or the skills to participate, I thought the Canadian maritime province would be a nice road trip destination. |

Porsche Parade, PCA's annual weeklong event, takes place in a new location each year. For 2018, we're heading to the midwest — the summer resort town of Osage Beach on the Lake of the Ozarks. In addition to traditional Parade activities such as concours, autocross, time-speed-distance and gimmick rallies, the location provides family friendly fun with watersports, boating, golf, an indoor

Comments, in writing, were sent to Dan Saxton or any other members of the Porsche Club of America Competition Rules Committee (as listed on the Porsche Club of America website). Comments submitted prior to December 20, 2017 were included in the final discussion, via email. The PCR Committee approved the rule changes for 2018. The following will be incorporated into the 2018 rule book that is currently being

Porsche Newsroom—Fifty years after Porsche’s first overall victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona, the Porsche GT Team fielded two 911 RSR this weekend at the long distance classic in Florida. The racer with the starting number 912, driven by two-time overall Le Mans winner Earl Bamber (New Zealand), Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium) and Gianmaria Bruni
(Italy), finished sixth in the strongly supported GTLM class. The second 911 RSR with the starting number 911, in which Patrick Pilet (France), Nick Tandy (Great Britain) and Frédéric Makowiecki (France) led the field at one point in the first third of the race, took the flag in eighth. Two pit stops for repairs after leaving the track in the Bus Stop chicane hampered a top result. | | |
Petrolicious—This week we head a
few hours north of our Los Angeles HQ to catch up with Bruce Canepa and one of his Porsche 959s. It’s one of the rarest cars to wear the company’s crest, but he’s certainly no stranger to the thing—after spending over a decade trying to find the legal loopholes necessary to put one on the road in the United States, one tends to form a bond, become familiar.

| | Jalopnik—The 996-generation Porsche 911 was a break from tradition. Not air-cooled, not overbuilt, not right, at least if you listen to the hardcore Porsche enthusiasts. And the car’s original brochure from the end of the ’90s reads like Porsche knew that a backlash was coming. They knew it. |
Motor Trend—Porsche launched the last manual-roof Boxster Spyder back in 2015, just before the Cayman and Boxster adopted the new 718 nomenclature and new turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-four engines. Thus, the Boxster Spyder was sort of a last hurrah for the six-cylinder mid-engine cars, receiving lots of goodies from the 911 and Cayman GT4 parts bins. Now, as these spy shots show, Porsche is bringing the Boxster Spyder back—likely with flat-six power
once again.
