PCA—Sadly for much of the country the dark days of winter mean our Porsches get relegated to the purgatory of car covers and battery tenders. Of course we all know they can be enjoyed
regardless of weather, but for so many owners
| | the thought of exposing their prized possessions to the ravages of snow, ice, salt, and freezing temperatures seems unpalatable. Setting the debate aside, we know the reality is that there are countless Porsches sitting dormant, just waiting for the roads to clear. In case you haven’t noticed, it’s officially spring, and that means the start of
driving season. Let’s get these cars out and drive!

PCA—As cars and technology progress, the speed and capability of our Porsches on the track has increased dramatically. This progress has led some racers of vintage Porsches to feel out of place on the track as they find themselves surrounded by cars with hundreds more horsepower. After realizing some racers had parked their vintage race cars because of this, PCA Club Racing created a run group to fix the situation.
| | PCA—Ed.: When a friend and colleague sent me this video, I at first thought the Porsche 917 sitting inside the peculiarly empty room was a real one. And then the body started to lift up from the side, revealing a working slot-car track somewhat mimicking Le Mans' Circuit de la Sarthe.

Road & Track—Faenza, a small town a short distance from the city gates of Bologna, takes in the cool morning air. On the Piazza del Popolo, there’s Palazzo, a small cafe tucked away under medieval arcades. Giorgio sits in front of a cappuccino. Francesco puffs on his cigar. Now and then someone strolls across the tile-clad square. It’s Monday or Tuesday. Maybe even Wednesday. Who cares?Read More

| | Jalopnik—There is a particular style among Porsche owners, melding race cues with dubious street legality, known as ‘Mulholland Racer’. In the good ‘ole days, a bunch of idiots would gather at the base of Mulholland Drive and see who could get up it the quickest. Perhaps Southern California’s version of Japanese touge racing, or just the wealthy version of street racing, it was ill
advised in either case. That street racing scene is thankfully long dead, but it produced some awesome cars along the way. |

This video is just six minutes of a new Porsche 911 GT3 RS casually drifting around a frozen lake in Finland. And it’s awesome.Watch Video
