PCA—If you’ve ever wondered how fast a Le Mans Prototype race car could be without the
technical regulations imposed by the World Endurance Championship (WEC) to keep the racing close, then you’ll want to pay attention to the new Porsche 919 Hybrid “Evo” during its “World Tour” this year. In its first outing, the unhinged LMP1 car set the lap record at Spa Francorchamps, beating the previous record set by a Formula One car. | | PCA—Porsche owners love to wash and shine their prized possession, but they are also very competitive. Each year Porsche Parade has the ideal event to indulge both of these inclinations,
in the form of a concours d’elegance. Originating in France over a century ago, the definition of concours, according to Merriam-Webster, is “a public competition,” and the term has come to be closely associated with competitive vintage or classic car shows in which prizes are awarded for those in the best original condition. Cars start with 300 points, which are deducted for each flaw a judge finds. A “perfect” Porsche will retain all 300 points, though this is an extremely rare
occurrence.Read More |
PCA—In the probably not too distant future, we’ll be able to look at a 911 history broken into three epochs: air-cooled, water-cooled, and hybrid. The 997.2-generation 911 Carrera, which celebrates its tenth birthday later this year, may well go down as being the most loved/sought-after of the water-cooled 911s. We should probably be snapping them up in droves now. Here’s
why. | | |

| | PCA—By the mid 1980s we’d been in the street-machine-performance-car doldrums for more than a decade. Muscle cars were long dead, Corvette V-8s sank as low as 200 bhp, Ferrari Boxers were illegal in the U.S. and high performance cubic inches seemed empty. |
Road & Track—In the mid-1990s, Porsche had to modernize the 911. Building an air-cooled car with bones dating back to the early 1960s simply wasn't sustainable, so Porsche had no choice but to go radical.
| | The Drive—Shows like the New York International Auto Show, Geneva Motor Show and India’s Auto Expo are meant to showcase auto industry trends, upcoming innovations and concept models. The NYIAS included new models, futuristic concepts, and autonomous and electric cars, but one standout was the vintage Porsche. Road & Track—Air-cooled Porsche 911 prices have skyrocketed these past few years, so much so that rarer models like the Carrera RS have evolved from pricy driver's cars to full-on collector pieces. If you're looking for the RS experience, but don't want to pay absurd auction prices, there's at least one shop that
can build the perfect 911 for you.Watch Video
| | Jalopnik—The 2019 Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo is a dream car in more ways than you might think. Of course it’s expensive; something many of us can only fantasize about buying. But it’s also the literal stuff of dreams. Something that shouldn’t exist in real life. Something that feels impossible. |
Jalopnik—I didn’t see the sagging metal cable stretched across the camp entrance when I went to turn around the $175,000 2019 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo I was driving until it was too late. |

We were out, and she had to have some. What better reason for a road trip than to quench my sweet's desire?

YouTube—Over the last decade the Porsche Cayman has developed its own colt following apart from the 911. The 4th generation seeks to distinguish itself further with a new name, new motor, and more mid-engine attitude. The name 718 gives homage to the late 1950’s sports car that was equipped with a flat-four cylinder engine. The styling updates on the 718 Cayman are still in line with Porsche’s latest design language. Base price for the 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman is
$55,300. | | |
| | Motor1—Is it a lifted wagon? A rugged hatchback? A crossover? Call it what you want, the Cross Turismo is a sign of things to come in terms of fully electric Porsches. First shown last month in Geneva, the second Mission E concept after the sedan unveiled back in 2015 is expected to go into early into the next decade. In this new video, the Stuttgart-based company puts the
spotlight on the concept’s exterior and interior design.Watch Video |

While Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur usually shares images with the more practical four-door models (Macan, Cayenne, Panamera), today we’re able to admire a fancy
911 in the track-oriented GT3 RS guise.Read More |
Petrolicious—In the Porsche world, the 1973 Carrera RS is an icon in motorsports. The model is famous for its homologation history, its 2.7 liter mechanically-fuel-injected 210-horsepower flat-six, and its bulging rear flares. A little over 1,500 examples were built in both Touring and Lightweight packages, and in
today’s money they typically fetch over half a million dollars. | | Photo by Patrick Stevenson / courtesy Petrolicious |

Photo by Blaine Rampulla. Pocono Region. "I had just bought my first 911, and my 12-year-old son and I traveled to Watkins Glen International last year for the PCA Club Racing event for the first time. We had a great time and will be attending more club races in the future.
"I took this photo of a 911 GT3 Cup car with an expired engine inside the first turn. Bad news for the owner, team
and driver, but it does make a interesting photograph. The driver was not injured and his safety crew put the fire out before the car itself caught fire."
