PCA—At 1 PM today at Rennsport Reunion VI, there was a huge crowd gathered in the Porsche Park in the Paddock, and for good reason: Two | | special Porsches were set to be unveiled after the keg-tapping ceremony which officially kicked off the four-day event. Former Porsche Factory Driver Mark Webber, Head of Sales and Marketing Detlev von Platen, and Head of Porsche Motorsport and GT Sports Cars Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser unveiled the new Porsche 935 race car and the 911 Speedster Concept. |

PCA—Porsche will produce a new 911 Speedster in limited quantities, the automaker announced today. The car will be based on the GT3 and uses its engine, a 4.0-liter flat-six with more
than 500 horsepower. | | PCA—Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI, the largest gathering of Porsches in the world, took place from Thursday to Sunday last week.
In PCA's blog, we cover some of the highlights of the event, plus the goings on at the PCA Hospitality Tent. |
PCA—In August, PCA's Executive Director Vu Nguyen and Porsche Panorama Editor-in-Chief Rob Sass visited Porsche Cars North America's Experience Center and headquarters in Atlanta to speak with CEO and President Klaus Zellmer about Porsche and where the automaker is headed. Watch the video

| | PCA—Road Racers. Ford GT, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, AMG GT R and Lotus Exige Cup 430 – four motorsport inspired road cars on the same track, with the same Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres on the same day. But which is quickest around the Anglesey Coastal Circuit? |

Road &
Track—Walter Röhrl told me this about the Porsche 935: "a car for men, not for boys. A little scary...a difficult race car with an experimental engine producing 700 horsepower." Roger that!
| | PCA—Join us for the Porscheplatz at the 21st Annual Motul Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta, Braselton, GA. The Porscheplatz tent will be the hub of activity for PCA members and Porsche owners at the races. There will be presentations by Porsche Motorsports North America and Porsche GT team drivers. Other activities include Porsche team garage/paddock tours. Mobil 1 and Michelin
will also give presentations. Special drawings will be held both days, including ones for "Hot Pit Experiences". "Hot Pit Experience" winners are given the exclusive opportunity to have a personal tour into the hot pits during the races. You can also just relax in the tent, enjoy a cool beverage, and watch the races via live feed TV. Bring your member card or Porsche key for admittance.

Jalopnik—This is the Singer DLS, done in partnership with Williams of F1 fame. It makes 500 horsepower. It costs $1.8 million. It sounds incredible.
Autoblog—Rennsport Reunion VI, the world's largest gathering of Porsche race cars old and new, has come to a close. If you were lucky enough to attend the 2018 edition of the event, hosted at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, congratulations for being a Porsche superfan. But if you weren't able to make the pilgrimage, we're here to offer the next best thing: High-res photos of every Rennsport nook and cranny, live and in living color.
Enjoy! |
| | Road & Track—The first-gen Cayenne is arguably the worst Porsche ever. Not that there isn't plenty of competition for this booby prize: The 924 is slow, the 914 is slow and has a gear linkage like shaking hands with a corpse, and the original Panamera resembles a whale schwanz. Yet for many Porsche fans, the original Cayenne marked the point at which Stuttgart pivoted from being a
company where performance and heritage were utmost, to another mass manufacturer churning out crossovers and profits. Also, it looks like a 996 crossed with a cankle. |
Jalopnik—The Porsche 959 is remembered as one of the greatest cars of the modern era, and certainly one of the jewels in the crown of Porsche, the eternal sports car king. What’s considerably less well-known is that the car was a fantastic failure at literally every point of its life.
| | Automobile—Rennsport Reunion, the four-day Porschepalooza held once every few years, is hallowed ground for brand devotees. There’s so many legendary P-cars to see and hear, it’s almost more satisfying to walk around the pits in-between race heats and inspect the cars as they tick over. Here are some of our paddock favorites. |
Jalopnik—The holidays are coming up, in case your Twitter timeline half filled with people wanting to get ~*spooky*~ and the other half posting Christmas emojis hasn’t tipped you off to that yet. And if you’re itching to spend a thousand times more than something is worth for the first time since you got a bill for college tuition, Porsche has the ideal holiday gift for you (to buy for
yourself, probably). | | |
| | Motor1—The 911 GT3 RS – regarded as the ultimate 911. While all 911s look almost the same, the GT3 RS stands out in a lot of ways, including its massive rear wing, the air vents, and the lack of real emblems (they’re decals in the GT3 RS). The exterior is literally just the surface, as Porsche employed significant weight savings to this 911 for it to become the ultimate road-going
track monster. Or is it? |
Jalopnik—They say money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy a 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS and the two are basically the same thing. It’s quick, responsive, agile and fun as hell. Ours was canary-yellow, which only made it better. Here are five things you should know about it.
| | Road & Track—Following the iconic CTR Yellowbird, Ruf Automobiles built this car, the CTR2. Based on the 993-generation 911 Turbo, it sports a Ruf-modified 3.6-liter twin-turbo air-cooled flat-six engine based on the motor found in Porsche's 962 Le Mans race car. It's incredibly quick, as you're about to see. |
Jalopnik—This weekend’s Rennsport Reunion VI at Laguna Seca is the world’s biggest Porsche motorsport collection, but there are a ton of cool things to be seen off of the race track as well. The vendor area seemed like a much smaller and Porsche-only version of the SEMA show, with a lot of companies debuting new product and showing off their coolest stuff there. One prime example of
that was Vonnen Performance and their new aftermarket add-on performance hybrid modules for 991 and 981-generation Porsche models.Read

| | Motor1—Driving isn’t the safest thing to do when it’s raining. Even a slight drizzle could mean wet roads and wet roads mean less friction between the tires and the concrete. However, safety is something that isn’t in the vocabulary of the Porsche 918 Spyder – or at least its driver from this
video. |
Motor1—WIt’s safe to say Porsche took everyone by surprise earlier this week when all of the sudden, the company that gave the automotive world the 911 introduced a retro-tastic race car. Based on the GT2 RS but restricted to the track, the new-era 935 aims to evoke the spirit of the iconic 935/78 Moby Dick racer of the late 1970s
using modern hardware inherited from the company’s most hardcore road-legal Nine Eleven ever built.
| | PCA—Every few years, Porsche Panorama conducts a survey of its readership to ensure that we produce the Porsche content you want to read about. Make the magazine yours by filling out the survey in its entirety. It should only take about five to ten minutes. Only current members and Test Drive participants logged in to the PCA website are allowed access to the
survey. |

InsideEVs—Porsche seems to be
testing the prototypes of its first all-electric model – the Taycan – all over the world, and recently one of the camouflaged test mules was spotted in Mountain View, California. |

Photo by Michael Press. Potomac Region. "This is Bullwinkle the bull, apparently
curious about the svelte Boxster. He stands 7 feet tall and weighs almost as much as the car. He lives at Star Gazing Farm Animal Sanctuary in Poolesville, MD, where my daughter is a volunteer. Every visit to the farm is a great opportunity to drive on some fantastic country roads." Got a stunning shot you want to share? Submit your pictures to potw@pca.org. Be sure to include your contact information, your region name, and a few sentences about your picture. |
