PCA—If you were at Rennsport Reunion VI this year on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, you likely saw a unique sight that had nothing
| | to do with the action on the track. A perfect, precision fly-over of F-16s performed by the US Air Force demonstration team, the Thunderbirds. You may have wondered how Porsche managed to orchestrate that feat typically reserved for Super Bowls and World Series games; the truth is that Porsche didn’t, but a familiar PCA Club Racing face did.

parts, vehicles (~1,000), scale models, art, and automobilia on offer. Additionally, one can easily find and chat with representatives from European-based museums, race meetings, car rallies, clubs, and more.

The Drive—We've seen McLaren's mighty 720S take on a wide swath of opponents including Ludicrous Mode-enabled Teslas, its own 600LT little brother, and the Nürburgring. Its latest challenger? An electric Porsche 944.

| | Car and Driver—This 718 Boxster S came to us in April 2017. The Porsche's arrival, like the annual return of robins and construction barrels, signaled that the dark days of winter were finally behind us. As we rowed doglegs through the six-speed's gates and pressed the steering wheel into long sweepers, the Boxster's foldaway roof allowed fresh spring air to fill our nostrils. Life was
brighter than a laundry-detergent ad.

Motorweek—We’ve been testing cars for almost 40-years now. And, over that time we’ve drivensome remarkable Porsches. And while expanding their lineup has certainly been a priority in recentyears, the venerable 911 has not only continued to evolve, but continue to amaze us as well. So, pardon us if you’ve heard this tune
before.

| | Autoblog—Any cyclists in the audience who appreciate high-zoot custom bicycle frames will know the name Independent Fabrications. The New Hampshire bike maker has fashioned steel and titanium rigs and wild paint jobs for 24 years. It is little surprise that when the company's owner wanted a custom classic Porsche that could climb up to East Coast pistes in the winter, he went to Emory
Motorsports. What resulted is the Allrad, which puts a 1964 356C body over internals from a 1990 964-series Porsche 911 C4S.

Motor1—The new Techart GT Street RS has the famous Porsche tuner getting ahold of a 911 Turbo S and tuning it beyond even GT2 RS power levels. Techart only intends to build ten of these mean machines, and the model makes a public debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

| | Autoblog—In 1984, a tiny German car company from Pfaffenhausen beat every legendary go-fast carmaker at Road & Track's World's Fastest Car competition. The Ruf BTR took the silverware with a 186-mph trap speed. Three years later, Ruf conquered an exotic-car Legion of Doom at next gathering for the same competition, with racing great Phil Hill taking the Ruf CTR Yellow Bird
to 211 mph. The CTR beat the next-fastest car by 10 miles per hour. This year's Geneva Motor Show will welcome the production version of the CTR Yellow Bird Anniversary, limited to 30 units.

Roadshow by CNET—Porsche's 992-generation 911 is packed with all kinds of arcane technological wizardry, but some of the coolest bits involve the way that the 911 handles the air it's moving through. To better explain (or maybe just show off) how the systems
work, Porsche released a video on Thursday.

| | Road & Track—If you own one of the three Porsche 911s above, congratulations! You have a car that'll likely appreciate in value. If you have a 120,000-mile 944 in decent shape, you might not be so lucky.

Motor1—There are three factors that should be considered in a drag race: engine output, vehicle weight, and launch.
In this episode of CarWow's weekly drag race, Mat Watson went aboard a Porsche Cayenne Turbo to go head to head against an Audi RS4 Avant. On the surface, considering that the Cayenne is an SUV and the RS4 is a station wagon, the race looks like a mismatch. Or is it?

Teslarati—Prototypes of the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo have been spotted winter testing in Sweden recently. Based on images of the vehicle that were captured during the icy road tests, it appears that the Taycan Cross Turismo’s design is steadily coming together.

The Truth About Cars—With the eighth-generation Porsche 911 having made its debut at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, we anticipated waiting months for the automaker to start rolling the high-horsepower variants. Up until now, we’ve seen the Carrara S, 4S, and their convertible counterparts. But we didn’t expect to see the 992
Turbo until the fall.
