As you know, Porsche Club of America delivers e-Brake News to your inbox every Tuesday. This is the March monthly recap.

1. PCA Spotlight: 911 GT3 Touring: How far Exclusive Manufaktur goes to customize new Porsches

PCA—As active PCA members, we see the best Porsches in the world on a regular basis, yet it’s still a rare opportunity to examine one in detail as it’s delivered to a customer. Jorge Carnicero, of Potomac Region, took delivery of his 911 GT3 Touring extensively customized by Exclusive Manufaktur at the Porsche Experience Center (PEC) in Atlanta, and fortunately we were invited to bring our cameras and get the full story of how this car came to be.

2. GT Academy: Driving Porsche's GT3 and GT3 RS at PEC

PCA—My week began riding Ducati’s new 226-horsepower Panigale V4S. Sporting a power-to-weight ratio better than an F1 car, the urgency of this piece of machinery has my deepest respect. Knowing in just days I would be visiting the Porsche Experience Center (PEC) in Atlanta to do back-to-back drives of the company’s latest 991.2 GT3 and GT3 RS, in what is called the “GT Academy,” I pondered the street-legal potency of the ride I was on and how the Porsche products would compare.

3. PCA Spotlight: This right-hand-drive Porsche 356 spent 28 years in storage

PCA—PCA Executive Director Vu Nguyen grew up near Columbia, Maryland, close to the club's National Office, yet he was surprised to learn about a special, right-hand-drive 1960 Porsche 356 cabriolet that had lived most of its life less than a mile away from his childhood home and high school.

4. Video: Here's What Happens When Your Tire Explodes at 180 MPH

Road & Track—Ever wonder what happens when you blow a tire going 180 mph? Well, this video is a good demonstrator.

This clip was originally published in 2015, but we think it's still relevant today. It shows a track-only 997-generation Porsche 911 RSR driven by Cory Friedman losing its right rear tire while going nearly 200 mph on the back straight of Daytona International Speedway. This happened during the Porsche Club of America's October race that year.

5. Porsche has big plans for 992 911 GT models

Evo—Porsche has confirmed that it will place a greater emphasis on the 911 GT models, and limited-run special editions as the current 992 matures in the marketplace.

Griot's Garage partners with PCA for e-Brake Photo of the Week contest

PCA—Griot's Garage is sponsoring our Porsche Photo of the Week contest. Winners will receive a Griot's Garage Concours Lawn Kit, a $99.99 value. We will also randomly award a PotW voter each month a PFM Speed Shine Kit, a $28.99 value. All you have to do is cast a vote for your favorite Porsche photo.

Vote for your favorite Porsche Photo of the Week

Each month, we will feature the Porsche of the Week photos from the previous month. Then we will tally the votes and crown a new Porsche of the Month winner. PCA, in partnership with Griot's Garage, will be giving away a Concours Lawn Kit to contest winners and a PFM Speed Shine Kit to randomly selected voters.
