| | PCA—The Taycan is quickly approaching its world debut and arrival in dealership showrooms this year, and Porsche says it’s in the final phase of testing the electric sedan in wildly different environments, such as Scandinavia, Dubai, and South Africa.

PCA—Porsche is ready to take its sports cars to new heights, specifically 30 millimeters higher with the new 911 Carrera Rallye Hybrid concept, an exploration of creating “lifestyle” cars that fill niche
markets between the normal Carrera line and the high-performance GT cars.
The Carrera RH is meant to be a modern interpretation of the recent off-road “Safari” air-cooled 911 builds, which today have wide acceptance in the Porsche community.
| | PCA—Porsche’s 911 GT2 RS has been setting production car lap records at several tracks around the globe, both officially by Porsche and by parties that have managed to get their hands on the
700-horsepower 911 (including Porsche Panorama). The automaker announced today that the GT2 RS now holds the production car lap record at Road Alanta, with professional race car driver Randy Pobst rounding the 2.54-mile course in 1:24.88 minutes.

PCA—“Don’t look down,” Peter Zawadzki said as he piloted his 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera up and around a string of tight esses along the mountain’s edge. His soft smile turned into an adrenaline-induced tooth-baring grin as he rounded a clumsily pre-meditated hairpin turn that revealed a quick 35-degree incline. The
exhaust crackled as he hastily downshifted to third gear. The car pushed forward and revved up the hill, its rumble whirling into raspy echoes through the forest.

| | PCA—Elliot Skeer of San Diego Region took first place at the PCA Sim Racing Series race at Laguna Seca, followed by Billy Smith, II, of Maverick Region in second, and Jason Lisner of First Settlers Region in third. Congratulations to the podium finishers!

PCA—A popular PCA member benefit is The Mart, the club’s classifieds section online and in each issue of Porsche Panorama. Mart Fresh is a bi-weekly column in which PCA media staff and guest contributors pick what they think are the "freshest" Porsches currently available, and then attempt to explain their reasoning. Up
this week are a 1969 911E Targa, 2007 911 GT3, 1987 911 Carrera, and 1975 914 1.8.

| | PCA—The rules and regulations set forth herein are the Parade Competition Rules, known as the PCRs. The purpose of the PCRs is to provide for the orderly conduct of all official and unofficial competitive events of the Porsche Parade and to make provisions for participant and spectator safety. Fairness to and among competitors is the goal of the PCRs.

Porsche Newsroom—Originally based on the coat of arms of the Free People’s State of Württemberg of former Weimar Germany from 1922, the Porsche crest has undergone many transformations since its creation in 1952, but none as monumental as the latest rendition: the QREST.

Automobile—As a woman who works in automotive publishing, an industry where men far outnumber women, it’s easy to feel like an underdog—I compare the experience to feeling like a freshman who mistakenly staggers into a classroom full of seniors on the first day of high school. And can you imagine what it’s like to be
the only female participant among dozens of drivers at a track day, where testosterone and bragging rights become even more prominent parts of the equation? I’ve been said female a number of times, so any track day with a higher percentage of women would promise a refreshing change of pace. But one actually completely geared toward women? Bring it on.

| | Roadshow by CNET—The closer we get to launch, the clearer it becomes how important the Taycan, Porsche's first full-production, all-electric car, will be to the future of the company. Since that first Mission E concept was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, you could tell that Porsche was taking this foray into battery electrics very seriously. The billions and billions
the company has invested in the intervening years serve as financial testament to that commitment.

PCARMARKET—It’s official. The Porsche community has an online auction platform to call its own. After only four weeks since its launch, PCARMARKET has been steadily gaining momentum. Nearly 70,000 users hit the site in the first 30 days, with the audience building in volume daily. PCARMARKET is in the process
of adding staff to handle both consignment listing volume and “Deal Tank” activity. If you are looking to sell your Porsche or find your next one, PCARMARKET could be a great resource.

Top Gear via YouTube—The Porsche 911 GT2 RS Manthey Racing has a long name. But the story is quite short and simple: it’s a tuned GT2 RS by Manthey Racing, and it’s the fastest road-legal car to lap the Nürburgring. Now, it’s Chris’s turn.

| | Autoblog—As the value of early Porsche 911s continues to skyrocket, collectors place an increasing amount of importance on provenance. Documented, matching-numbers examples are worth more than those with a murky past, and historians go to significant lengths to trace the history of each car that comes up for sale. And yet, one of the most unusual 911s, an experimental 1967 911S
with a stainless-steel body, remains mostly unknown – as if it had never existed.

Motor1—What happens when you line up a Tesla Model S P100D, a Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, a Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door, and a BMW M5 Competition on one end of a smooth stretch of airstrip? Awesomeness happens, that's what. A battle royale to the fateful finish that determines a performance pecking
order.

| | Road & Track—Ever since Porsche refreshed the last-generation Porsche 911 in 2015, even the base Carreras have used turbocharged engines. Now, the new 911 is out, and it continues the forced induction theme.

Car and Driver—When we drove the 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in Germany last year, we were kept off public roads. You see, to legally drive any car in Germany between November 1 and April 15 means fitting winter tires. Now, a GT3 RS on snow shoes does sound like the right kind of ice racing, but in hopes that we'd properly
lick the performance envelope, Porsche kept our behind-the-wheel time to laps on the Nürburgring Formula 1 track.

| | Autoblog—Not long after last year's Porsche Rennsport Reunion, we posted on Lanzante Engineering's restomod project with the original Porsche 911 Turbo. McLaren Formula One used TAG-branded Porsche engines for four years in the 1980s to win two constructor's and three driver's championships. McLaren sold 11 of those engines to Lanzante — nine
of which have been raced, one with a win to its credit — and Lanzante is installing them into the original chassis of some 930s. PistonHeads stopped by the shop to find out more.

Motor1—A brand mainly known for creating exciting two-door sports cars, Porsche has expanded its portfolio to include three SUVs, a sedan, and even a wagon. Later this year, the lineup will further grow to include another sedan, which will eventually be joined by this – another wagon. These two new arrivals will be
vastly different than familiar nameplates such as the 911, Boxster/Cayman, and Panamera as the Taycan duo will eschew the combustion engine in favor of a pure electric setup.
|
Evo—The Porsche Cayenne range is soon to gain a Turbo S E-hybrid model, featuring the same hybridised twin-turbo V8 engine as the similarly named flagship Panamera. As confirmed by Porsche CEO Oliver Blume in an interview with evo, the new model will top the Cayenne range – and indeed the entire VW Group’s SUV offerings
– in regards to power. Although a specific figure has not yet been confirmed, the aforementioned Panamera’s 671bhp total output gives a strong clue as to what we can expect.

Motor1—This is it – what you see is what you’ll find in the near future at a Porsche dealer lucky enough to get a hold of a 718 Cayman GT4. Spotted up close and personal during last-minute testing at the Nürburgring, the track-oriented coupe did not seem to have any sort of camouflage whatsoever. The lack of disguise is
an obvious sign an official reveal is right around the corner, with a recent report stipulating we’ll see it in June at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. However, an online reveal could occur a few weeks sooner.

| | Petrolicious—The 993 Turbo was an extremely important car to get right for Porsche. Working with a limited development budget they had to produce a range-topping model that could still trace its roots back to the very first 911s. Despite these obstacles, they released a model that not only moved the game on significantly from its predecessor but outperformed just about anything in its
class too. To achieve this Porsche drew heavily on its motorsport experience and the lessons it had learned when developing its 959 supercar a decade earlier. The black example you see here is one of the first prototypes used by Porsche to test various components before the 993 Turbo was released and it may well be the only one left in existence.

Forbes—Any day driving a Porsche 911 is a good one for me. My dream car has always been a 911, ever since a friend took me for a tunnel-vision inducing late-night ride along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu back in 1980. I’ve chased 911 ownership many times since, but it hasn’t worked out yet. Purists may scoff at the
convertible 911, but the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet delivers all the thrills that I need in a sports car short of closed circuit track racing.
