| | PCA—A little over six weeks separates the Scottsdale Auctions from the Amelia Island sales. But it seems like there’s even less separation in terms of the variety of the Porsche consignments.

PCA—Greed: It’s one of the seven deadly sins, right between lust and pride. Pride I can deal with in this business and lust does not come up much, at least not in a scary way. But greed, it’s a relatively
common sin. Sometimes it comes at you sideways, as it did with this 1973 Porsche 911T Targa.

| | GoodingandCompany via YouTube—Ed.: Sometimes we wonder if the high-end collectible Porsches sold at auctions will ever get driven. Before these six Porsches go into hibernation — or get driven by — new owners, Gooding & Company has put together two videos showing five Porsches getting driven on track, and a 918 Spyder with less than 50 miles at a track.
Enjoy!

Jalopnik—I know the Porsche 914 is, to many of the worst kind of Porsche snobs, not a real Porsche. It was even branded in Europe as a “VW-Porsche,” and, more galling, it had a Volkswagen engine. But, there was another version, the 914/6, that had the flat-six out of the 911. This is the version everyone seems to agree is the
respectable 914, but when you actually look at the numbers, I’m not so sure.

Automobile—For those who want a new 718 Cayman with a six-cylinder but were worried they won’t have the coin for the forthcoming—and as-yet unrevealed—hard-core GT4 variant, we come bearing good news: According to a well-placed source, Porsche will once again offer a six-cylinder engine below the Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder
line-toppers.

| | Motorweek via YouTube—There are a handful of cars that deserve the attention when they're redesigned. The Porsche 911 is one of those cars. All-new as a 2020 model year, the 911 is more advanced, faster and styled with the original in mind. We head overseas for our first drive on the street and the track.
|
Road & Track—Remember the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport? It's the track-only race version of the 700-horsepower GT2 RS road car. We'd forgive you if you forgot about it, considering it was revealed at pretty much the same time as the all-new 911, the 992, at the LA Auto Show last year. At the time, the car wasn't destined for any
particular race series, but now, it looks as if its finally getting some wheel-to-wheel action.

Petrolicious—There are quite a few winter events for classic cars going on while the vast majority are tucked into warm garages, with snow-filled weeks and weekends available to those gentlemen drivers who wish to participate to a regularity rally surrounded by Alps and don’t mind getting a little salt and snow wedged into
the fenders. The Winter RAID is a relatively unknown gem of an event, and if for the moment it is overshadowed by larger productions such as the Winter Marathon, this is the only one of these winter rallies that starts and finishes in the spectacular St. Moritz.

| | Wired—As he tosses the car into a sweeping left-hand turn, Mark Webber expresses sympathy for the folks who made this lap possible. “I feel terrible for future Porsche engineers,” he says, flitting 450 horsepower over the red and white curbs of Spain’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo, on the way to a track time fitting his status as a retired Formula 1 legend. “At some point you really do wonder
how they can keep improving on these things.”

Photo by Bob Arner. First Settlers Region. "I was enjoying an evening drive in my all-original 1976 911 Turbo, which sat in a barn since 1988
until I purchased it three years ago. It recently went through a complete engine rebuild and now runs like a dream. I was blown away by this sunset in Mechanicsville, VA, my home of 25 years, and I think my 930 was, too!"
