PCA—In America, our introduction to the world of street-legal Porsche GT cars was the 2002 911 GT2, a nearly
200-miles-per-hour twin-
| | turbocharged flat-six behemoth that maintains an air of comfort. Bill Stover and his wife Laura have owned their Zanzibar Red GT2 since new and driven it nearly 30,000 miles, and when the time comes to let it go, it'll stay in the family. Watch the video for a brief look at the car, and be sure to read the May 2019 Porsche Panorama for an in-depth feature.

PCA—A popular PCA member benefit is The Mart, the club’s classifieds section online and in each issue of Porsche Panorama. Mart Fresh is a bi-weekly column in which PCA media staff and guest
contributors pick what they think are the "freshest" Porsches currently available, and then attempt to explain their reasoning. Up this week are a 1969 912-6, a restored 1972 911S, and a 1987 944S with a 968 engine.

| | PCA—Kremer's 962 CK6 and Porsche’s 911 GT1 Evo raced at Le Mans a decade apart and are worlds different, yet they bear some striking similarities. Johan Dillen takes a few laps in both cars around the Czech Republic’s Most Autodrom, in "The Generation Game." At Parade we met up with Silver Sage Region members Bill and Laura Stover and discussed their
striking Zanzibar Red GT2. Read about their relationship to this special car in "OMGT2," and be sure click here to watch the accompanying video. Jason Harper traveled to Greece to drive the 2020 911 Carrera 4 and 4S Cabriolet. Read his driving impressions as he follows "The Call of the Open Air." A PCA member since 1985, Mary Hill-Caldwell and her husband Bill have owned a number of different Porsches, but their current love is their
European-delivery Macan S, known as “Mac.” One thing we all want, whether it is from our doctors or our mechanics, is experience. Few have more than Porsche Master Mechanic Larry Moulton, who’s been wrenching cars since 1968 and possesses "The Master Touch."

PCA—Last week Porsche announced that a new Cayenne S Coupe is joining the base and Turbo variants of the coupe SUV announced in March. With regards to performance, the 434-horsepower S sits between the base and Turbo.

Motor1—In September last year, Porsche put big smiles on our faces revealing a modern classic. The reborn 935 paid homage to the long-tailed Moby Dick race car from the late 1970s and also celebrated Porsche’s 70th anniversary. What better way to mark a significant occasion in the history of the iconic sports car
maker?

Jalopnik—I’m going to throw a hypothetical your way. Let’s say that, unlike certain people, you decided not to spend $350,000 (or more) to make sure your spawn—a budding Instagram celebro-shill with less-than-stellar SAT scores—gets into the University of Southern California. Let’s say you decide to spend that money on
yourself instead, on an extreme Porsche to enjoy while your kids fend for themselves. Which one do you buy?

| | Motor Trend—Better late than never. Years after its German rivals launched cut-down versions of their mainstream SUVs, Porsche has finally got around to building a Cayenne with a lower roofline and faster D-pillars. The Cayenne Coupe arrives in the U.S. this fall with three powertrains, additional standard equipment, and a host of options, ready to take the fight
to the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. And on first impressions, it's the best of the bunch.
|
Autoweek—To find the true purpose of the 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster, which is the production version of the Speedster Concept Porsche built to celebrate 70 years, you need look no further than the instrument panel and the steering wheel. What’s there, and what isn’t, is revealing.

PCA—Its F1 time again in Austin, Texas. And yes, the stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas. PCA Hill Country Region (HCR) has worked with Circuit of the Americas (COTA) to provide an exclusive ticket offer for PCA members planning to attend the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix, November 1 –
3, 2019 at COTA, Austin, Texas.

| | The Drive—The upcoming 992-gen Porsche 911 GT3 has been spotted in action yet again, but this time, it was filmed in all its glory doing full-beans laps at the Nürburgring.
|
Hagerty—In 1988, Porsche wrapped up production of their 959 supercar and realized that it had a huge problem on its hands. The 959 was a bleeding-edge look at what the future of Porsche could be, with twin turbocharging and all-wheel-drive. As history (and the modern 911 Turbo) would bear out, Porsche had guessed
correctly. But, according to the accounting books, the future at Porsche was not a guarantee.

| | Road & Track—Have you heard? A new 911 is out, which means Porsche will debut a seemingly endless amount of different variants to cater to each and every sort of buyer. We've seen the upcoming GT3 model testing on the Nurburgring for a while now, and we got our first glimpse of the Targa model in April. Now, we get to see the big-daddy Turbo testing on the
Green Hell.
|
| | TheSmokingTire via YouTube—In 1973 you could tick a box and Porsche would upgrade your Carrera RS from 200HP to near 300, cut out 160lbs, and add racing parts from the 917. This is a tribute to that car, but with a much bigger engine.
|
Automobile—While coupes and conventional cabriolets/convertibles are mainstays of the Porsche product lineup, the company hasn’t built many Speedster variants, bestowing the special treatment and badge to just five production models over the past seven decades. Here’s a quick look at the history of Porsche’s most
alluring roofless models.
| | |
| | Jalopnik—Finally, a crossover that makes a fashion statement without looking like a painful mutation. The 2020 Cayenne Coupe is just a regular Cayenne, except its roofline and rear-end have been re-engineered to communicate that you’re worried about being seen in a crossover but want some practicality, and you have money to make that worry go
away.
|
AutoEvolution—Now that the Porsche 911 has received a new generation, the time has come for a comparison that has become mandatory earlier this decade, namely the battle between the Neunelfer and the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport.

Petrolicious—Record-breaking racer Zef Eisenberg has again written his name in the history books, by smashing the highest speed and “flying mile” records at the legendary Pendine Sands in South Wales on Saturday driving a road-legal 1200bhp Porsche 911 Turbo. Eisenberg secured four new wheel-powered vehicle records on
just his first pair of runs. In addition to setting the fastest sand speed ever at 210.332mph, he also took the fastest flying quarter (one-way) record at 206.492mph; the fastest flying mile (one-way) at 196.970mph; and the fastest flying mile (two-way, using the same measurement as Sir Malcolm Campbell) at 187.962mph.

Forbes—In 1948, Ferdinand Porsche—the famed Austrian automotive engineer and designer of the original Volkswagen—and his son, Ferry, started building sports cars for the first time under their family name. Seven decades later, the Porsche brand is synonymous with some of the most significant performance automobiles ever
built.
|
| | Roadshow by CNET—Never mind its name. To properly understand the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe, don't think of it as a coupe at all (which shouldn't be hard since, you know, it isn't one).
