| | PCA—Every year PCA Club Racing visits more than two-dozen racetracks in North America as members compete to win their respective class championship. While most of the racers have non-automotive day jobs and compete on the weekends, occasionally pro drivers show up for fun, such as Lehman Keen at the club race at Watkins Glen a couple weekends
ago.

PCA—This is the third of 18 small PCA surveys that will be included in e-Brake News this year. These surveys are quick and easy and will help improve PCA. We appreciate your time and feedback! Each month one person who
takes the survey will win $100 credit to the PCA Web Store. There will be another survey later this month, which improves your odds to win the monthly prize. Only one entry per survey counts toward the prize. June’s winner will be announced in the July 2 edition of e-Brake. Good luck!
June Survey Part I
Congratulations to our May $100 credit to the PCA Web Store winner: Robert Reinckens from Connecticut Valley Region! If you didn't take the May surveys yet, you can still do so. Please note you are no longer eligible for the May prize.

| | PCA—Father's Day is right around the corner, and perhaps this June 16 will be the day you don't give your dad a pair of socks. To that end, we've assembled a gift guide filled with PCA and
Porsche-related goodies that any Porsche-loving father would appreciate. Of course, there's always a pair of socks.
To ensure delivery by Father's Day, June 16, all PCA merchandise orders must be placed by June 11.

| | PCA—A popular PCA member benefit is The Mart, the club’s classifieds section online and in each issue of Porsche Panorama. Mart Fresh is a bi-weekly column in which PCA media staff and guest contributors pick what they think are the "freshest" Porsches currently available, and then attempt to explain their reasoning. Up this week are a 1983 911 SC, 1984 944, 1990
944 S2 Cabriolet, and 1997 911 Carrera 4S.
|
PCA—Porsche Club of America will launch a new monthly email newsletter in June named Perfourmance News. Perfourmance News will feature news, products, services, and information about Porsche Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, and Taycan vehicles — all Porsches with four doors. Perfourmance News will be emailed the third week each month. Click here to start receiving this free email when it begins in June.

| | RADwood—PCA is excited to be a part of Radwood for its 1980-1990s-themed car show at New Jersey Motorsports Park on June 8, 2019. PCA National will have a booth at the show and several office staff on hand to hang out, including Executive Director Vu Nguyen, Porsche Panorama Editor Rob Sass, Digital Media Coordinator Damon Lowney, and Marketing Director
Jim Hemig.

PCA—Treffen Vermont tour, activities, and pricing information is now available at the Treffen website. Make your plans to join us September 4-7, 2019 touring the Green Mountains. Registration opens Wednesday, June 19 at 3:00 PM EDT.

| | Automobile—Simple pleasures rule and very few cars provide them as comprehensively as does the back-to-basics 911 Carrera T. One of the final twists on the outgoing 991.2 generation as it gives way to the 992, the T will almost surely get a sequel based on the new 911, but we recently had a go in the car at our L.A. HQ and reveled in its near
perfection.
|
| | Motorweek via YouTube—Porsche is joining in on the trend of SUV "coupes." The 2020 Cayenne Coupe still has four doors, but with a sloping roofline to give it the coupe style. We head to Austria for our First Drive.
|
Lifehacker—Things are green again and we’ve got roll-down-your-windows temps outside, which can only mean one thing: It’s time to hit the open road.
If you’re the sort of person who likes to go out for a Sunday drive or wander off the beaten path from time to time, there are a couple of apps (one seasoned and one newbie) that might help you find your way this summer.
|
REC Watches—A Danish watch brand is giving new life to classic Porsche 911s. The highly praised 901 is a mechanical timepiece first introduced in 2017. The dial is cut directly from a salvaged, air-cooled Porsche 911, meaning every single timepiece is visibly unique and born with the story of its “organ donor.”
(Disclaimer: No cars were harmed in the car-to-timepiece transformation, as only parts beyond saving in the restoration process are used.)

| | PCA—The popular Porsche show Werks Reunion will be headed back to the Corral de Tierra Country Club on August 16, 2019 near Laguna Seca Raceway, during Monterey Car Week. Porsche Club of America (PCA) welcomes all Porsche clubs, owners, and enthusiasts to join us at the fifth Werks Reunion in Monterey. Membership in PCA is not required to participate in this
celebration of Porsche automotive engineering. Expect to view a breathtaking array of Porsches at this free-to-spectators event, from rare classics to current models and everything in between. Display your own cherished car in model-specific Porsche Corrals or enter the Porsche Judged Field and compete to win in more than 20 prize categories.

Road & Track—Flacht, Germany is where Porsche develops its white-hot race cars, separate from the herds of 718s leaving the factory in Zuffenhausen, 40 minutes east. The western plant is also where Porsche develops its manic road cars, the GT machines that come painted in fruity colors with surfboard-sized spoilers.
The ones that are happiest when licking blood from their teeth. Being bred alongside Le Mans-winning 911s has always gifted the company's GT cars with a rare duality: thrilling on a back road and joyous on a track. Until now.

Time is running out to register for the 2019 Porsche Parade. It's PCA's biggest event. Parade has competitions and activities for all ages and interests. PCA's biggest awards — including Enthusiast of the Year, Family of the Year, and Region of the Year — are announced at Parade. You do not want to miss it!
Remember, late fees will be assessed after June 9, so register today!

Motor1—In 1968, Porsche built the 909 Bergspyder – a one-seater lightweight speedster that's built specifically for hillclimb races. It wears a white and green livery with a ready-to-drive weight of only 384 kilograms (847 pounds). It was a short-lived model, but that wasn't supposed to be the end of the Bergspyder
name.
| | |
| | Road & Track—Watching in-cabin videos from race cars as they get driven at 10/10ths never gets old. This latest one comes from driver Leh Keen behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 R at Barber Motorsports Park. We can't get enough of it.
|
Motor1—Production of the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Speedster only lasted from January 1989 until July 1989 resulting in a total of just 2,104 units. Volker Schiersch apparently doesn't care about his car's rarity, though, because he uses the Speedster to haul a tiny camper around Europe. Forget the 911 with the rooftop
camper, this is the real way to travel in style.

PCA—Its F1 time again in Austin, Texas. And yes, the stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas. PCA Hill Country Region (HCR) has worked with Circuit of the Americas (COTA) to provide an exclusive ticket offer for PCA members planning to attend the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix, November 1 – 3, 2019 at
COTA, Austin, Texas.
|
Petrolicious—RM Sotheby’s is the official auction house of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and this year marked its fifth successful Villa Erba sale with an impressive gross total of €19,798,085 ($22-million). Five vehicles achieved sale prices of over €1,000,000 and the two in particular that stole the show were
both racing cars from the 1950s with fascinating histories.
| | |
| | Road & Track—Another week, another Porsche 911 test car spotted at the Nurburgring. We've seen everything from Targas, to Turbos, to GT3 variants of the new 992-generation car getting exercised on the Green Hell, and now, it seems another trim has appeared.
|
Jalopnik—The Project 1 Racing Porsche with drivers Egidio Perfetti, Patrick Lindsey and Jörg Bergmeister is the current GTE AM class points leader going into the final race of the FIA WEC 2018/2019 superseason. To celebrate the potential championship, the team contracted American artist Richard Phillips to design an art
car livery for the #56 car to race at Le Mans, with assistance from renowned livery design master Andy Blackmore.

PCA—The rules and regulations set forth herein are the Parade Competition Rules, known as the PCRs. The purpose of the PCRs is to provide for the orderly conduct of all official and unofficial competitive events of the Porsche Parade and to make provisions for participant and spectator safety. Fairness to and among
competitors is the goal of the PCRs.

| | Motor1—A Porsche 911 wearing a body kit from Rauh-Welt Begriff (RWB for short) is already special enough, but a new show car from Forgestar Wheels makes the coupe even more extraordinary. A variety of additional modifications make it perfect for a day of canyon carving or maybe even an occasional track day.
|
Bloomberg—Oliver Blume, chief executive officer of Volkswagen AG’s Porsche unit, said his office was among those searched by public prosecutors last week, the Handelsblatt reported.
|
| | Jalopnik—While Hans Christian Andersen’s ugly duckling did turn into a beautiful swan, the same transformation can perhaps not be said for today’s Nice Price or Crack Pipe 914 with its Mitcom Chalon body kit. Its beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but will its price be as well?
|
Motor1—The Porsche 911 Targa is one of those cars that always looks fantastic, and the 992-edition of the removable-roof 911 appears to be carrying the tradition quite well. A new set of spy photos are out from the Nürburgring, though spy might be something of a misnomer here since the only thing hidden is a Targa
badge, presumably beneath the black tape at the rear of the car. However, with the black roof and B-pillar in clear sight, Porsche isn’t fooling anyone with this car, and we’re pretty sure they know it.
|
| | Forbes—When the first Porsche Cayenne models arrived on US shores as 2002 models, brand loyalists worried that an SUV bearing a sports car badge spelled doom for their beloved marque. Cayenne turned out to be a hit, and continued to be popular through its second generation of production (2011 – 2018). The 2019 Porsche Cayenne marks the start of a third
generation.
|
Autoevolution—Less than a month is left until the 24 Hours of Le Mans race kicks off in France, and carmakers that plan to have a word to say this year have begun presenting their liveries and cars for 2019. On Tuesday, May 28, Ford showed its GTs dressed for the occasion, and now Porsche is doing the same with its race
cars.

Photo by Paul Musto. North Country Region. "I've just recently bought my first Porsche 911 and could
not be loving it more. I live near the coast in New Hampshire and drive the coastline quite frequently, stopping along the way to take in the views. This happens to be one of those spots where you get a beautiful view of the ocean, rocks, and now a gorgeous Porsche!"
