PCA—Porsche has been deepening its GT line of sports cars and race cars recently, and one of the
latest is the 700-horsepower 911 GT2 RS Clubsport.
| | Fortunately for us, a
PCA member received an allocation and offered the car up for a track comparison against a 485-hp 991.2 GT3 Cup. With professional driver Leh Keen at the wheel, we find out whether the Clubsport, a street car made into a race car, can beat the Cup, a car built from the ground up to race.

PCA—Today the doors to the Los Angeles International Auto Show floor opened to journalists, and that means several manufacturers are showing off brand-new cars in the metal for the first time. Though there was nothing in the
Porsche room that hadn’t already been announced, three vehicles made their auto show debuts: 2020 Taycan 4S, 2020 Macan Turbo, and 99X Electric.

Watches presents the 901 collection - a timepiece incorporating metal from a classic air-cooled Porsche 911.
The REC Concept
How do you put the soul of a car into a watch. Where do you find it? In the material, the shape, or is it in the roads it’s travelled? It’s our love for the extraordinary machine that drives our philosophy. A three-step process we’ve named: RECover, RECycle, REClaim. Or REC for short.

Mart Fresh is a bi-weekly column in which PCA media staff and guest contributors pick what they think are the "freshest" Porsches currently available, and then attempt to explain their reasoning. Up this week are a 1982 928, 1987 924S, 2001 Boxster S, and 2008 Cayman.

| | PCA—What’s better than Santa’s sleigh riding in with a bag full of presents? How about a Parade of Porsches and other exotic cars full of gifts for children at the Golisano Children's Hospital?
The Porsche Club of America Everglades Region will deliver holiday gifts to children at the Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida, Saturday, December 14. The third annual “Porsche Parade of Presents” helps put a smile on children's faces while they undergo treatment. Motor Trend—There's some cause for concern over the future of the sports car. After all, in a world where cars drive themselves, what's the point of a car that's fun to drive? I'm of the opinion that in 20 years we'll look back on cars like the 2020 BMW Z4 M40i and 2019 Porsche 718 Boxster S with the same fondness we bestow on the comparatively analog sports cars that graced showrooms before
the turn of the century.

| | Road
& Track—When you think of Porsche race cars, the 928 isn't exactly the first car that comes to mind. It's big and heavy, more suited to grand touring duty than track work. But this 928 is different.

Car and Driver—While we love our corner of Michigan, even its biggest boosters would not call it exotic. For 10Best, our base is a Boy Scouts camp where the dining hall bears the olfactory memory of decades of institutional cooking. When we opt to eat out, there is no need to know, or grease the palms of, the maitre d’ to get a good seat. Although we have learned never to select the table
directly under the leak in the roof at the scenically named Hell Saloon.

& Track—Back in November 2018, Manthey Racing set out to break the Nürburgring production car record, currently held by the Aventador SVJ. It made some race-ready modifications to a GT2 RS and succeeded, defeating the mighty Lamborghini by over four seconds.
|
Jalopnik—“Our goal was to make the hybrid system disappear into the car. We wanted to do it the way Porsche would have done it,” Vonnen CEO Chuck Moreland said about his company’s 2013 Porsche 911. The car was heavily modified to be electrified but doesn’t feel like it. It does feel pretty damn good, though.

Autocar—Porsche has reaffirmed plans for a hypercar to crown its line-up – and, in a bid to provide a clear link between its motorsport activities and road cars, it could use a hybrid driveline originally developed in an aborted Formula 1 engine programme.
|
| | Motor1—We’ve never been shy at Motor1.com about our extreme passion for off-road Porsche 911 builds. We’ve certainly seen all kinds of Baja-themed 911s over the years, but we’ve never seen anything quite like this. Once upon a time, this was a 1991 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet. Now, it’s just freaking epic.
|
Jalopnik—N’er before has there been a more important task for the readers of this site, as I want—nay need—one of you to trade [many] monetary units for this 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo, once owned by Formula One racer Kevin Magnussen. I am a self-described Porsche fanatic, a racing fanatic, and direct descendant of a Dane myself. This should definitely be my car, but sadly I do not have enough
monetary units to trade for such a thing. Therefore it is your duty to buy it in my stead. And this is why.

| | Road
& Track—In the U.S., the Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman live in the shadow of the 911. It's tough to draw a direct comparison in sales numbers, but typically, Porsche sells a good bit more 911s here than 718s. In China, though, the 718 does much better. And its success there is critical to the health of Porsche's mid-engine sports cars.
|
Motor Trend—Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser is like a lot of Porsche fans. He loves the brand, and he owns two 911s himself. He took up the reins of 911 and 718 development from "Mr. 911," August Achleitner, earlier this year, and is usually hard at work in meetings or spending time with development mules to ensure the Porsche sports cars of the future retain their trademark balance and
approachability. So when we had the rare opportunity to catch up with Dr. Walliser at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, we had to ask him a few questions about the future of the 911. Specifically, will the much-rumored electric Porsche 911 happen anytime soon? His answer: Nope. Not while he's in charge, anyway.

| | Autoweek—What is it: The Macan is Porsche's small sport utility vehicle that includes both premium materials and price tag. For this model year and this model year only, the Macan S stands as the top trim of the Macan lineup, above the base four-cylinder model. 2020 brings back the traditional top-bill Macan Turbo with a new engine making 434 hp.

Jalopnik—Is a decent driver-grade 911 selling for a sane price a sign of consumer confidence levels, a portent of a downward trending economic environment, or just a buyer getting a great deal? Today on Bring A Trailer this silver Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Targa—arguably among the most iconic sports cars of all time—sold for a price that I would call within the realm of sanity; $25,800. It’s been
years since I’ve seen anything even close to this. It feels like the tides are turning.

Motor1—We are still several months away from the debut of the next-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S but we’ve already seen quite a few prototypes of the model testing on public roads and race tracks. Today we uncover yet another test car but this time around it’s a rather interesting machine that caught our photographers’ attention in Stuttgart.
