PCA—It was only a matter of time before Porsche started selling a 911 Turbo based on the 992-generation car, though this time
the
| | automaker launched the
flagship with the Turbo S, announced today with 640 horsepower and the ability to crush zero-to-60 miles per hour in just 2.6 seconds, storm the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds, and top out at 205 miles per hour. Let’s all remember not too long ago the Carrera GT supercar had a top speed of 205 mph, though it was slower in all other regards.

PCA—Hard on the heels of the Scottsdale sales come the Amelia Island sales. Little in the way of good news has happened since Arizona, with fears of a global pandemic jolting the world equities markets. In this atmosphere, it
will take some truly special cars to catch the attention of nervous buyers. Here are five that we think have a pretty good chance of changing hands at or near their pre-sale estimates.
| | PCA—A popular PCA member benefit is The Mart, the club’s classifieds section online and in each issue of Porsche Panorama. Mart Fresh is a bi-weekly column in which PCA media staff and guest contributors pick what they think
are the "freshest" Porsches currently available, and then attempt to explain their reasoning. Up this week are a 1985.5 944, 2005 Cayenne Turbo, and 2019 911 GT3 RS.

| | PCA—Porsche Club of America members enjoy the sensation of traveling in our favorite vehicle. Freedom and mobility in our Porsche makes life special. PCA Sierra Nevada Region’s charitable mission is to bring this same feeling to children and adults with special needs.
The Sierra Nevada Region adopted AMBUCS/AMTRYKE as their charity in 2016. AMBUCS/AMTRYKE is a 501c3 charity that builds adaptive bicycles and tricycles for children and adults. AMBUCS/AMTRYKE is an all-volunteer organization, with a local chapter in Reno/Sparks, Nevada, that has built over a hundred bikes for clients at no charge.

Motor Trend Channel via YouTube—In just over 20 years, Porsche went from building its first 911s to creating the moonshot 959, replete with all-wheel drive, adjustable suspension, and a turbocharged flat-six that, in race capacity, was tuned to 800 horsepower. At the offer of Porsche, who flew over two museum specimens for the occasion, MotorTrend’s Jonny Lieberman does his best to track from
one 1960s icon to a legend of the 1980s.

Jalopnik—Once upon a time, they put a four-cylinder in the 2019 Porsche Boxster GTS. This was widely regarded as a bad idea and everyone hated it, so Porsche has already brought back the flat-six. But I didn’t drive the new one. I drove the one everyone likes to hate.

Hagerty—When looking for a fun-to-drive drop-top, Keith Hamersma was pretty focused. It had to be a Porsche 911. Certainly, there are many options for open-air driving, but Hamersma fell in love with the 911 decades ago, so when he finally reached a point in his life where he could afford one, he really didn’t have a choice.

| | Petrolicious—When Drew Coblitz acquired a 911 that had already been reimagined by Singer Vehicle Design, the company sent a note welcoming him to the family. Just another detail, part of a long list of examples of Singer’s thoroughness when it comes to the experience of owning a car that they’ve put their stamp on. By working up a genius combination of modern engineering solutions and only the best character traits from a more analog era of
Porsche, the car’s abilities exceeded Drew’s high expectations. But there was something missing.

| | Autoblog—Utter darkness. It is around 6 p.m. in the Arctic Circle and blowing fat tufts of snow. The LED headlamps on the Porsche Carrera 4S barely pierce the icy path, a steeply pitched logging road. Yet I’m full-blast on the gas, eyes straining, realizing just in time that a closing-radius switchback turn is fast approaching.

Motor Authority—Germany's Gemballa is famous for building some of the fastest Porsches on the planet, and soon the company will test the waters with a supercar of its own.
This is not that car.
Marc Philipp Gemballa, the son of Gemballa founder Uwe Gemballa, has started a car company under his own name and will reveal the first product on March 4.

month.

Hagerty—Delivered at the main factory in Zuffenhausen, the “Werk 1” Porsche Taycan, a 4S in Carmine Red, went to a certain Florian Böhme on his 43rd birthday. Factory delivery is much of a special occasion in 2020 as ever, since the opportunity has been open to Porsche customers for seven decades now. However, from 1950 until well into the ’70s, the handover took place right outside the
factory, often with a glass of bubbly at hand.

| | Motor1—It may only be the “baby Cayenne,” but the Porsche Macan in Turbo guise does borrow the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 from its bigger brother. That gives it an extra 10 percent power output over its predecessor even though the engine’s displacement has gone down by 20 percent compared to the old Macan Turbo. Now with a meaty 435 horsepower and 550 Newton-meters (354 pound-feet) of torque, the range-topping version of Porsche’s smaller
crossover delivers top-notch performance as demonstrated in the adjacent video.

Drive—Volkswagen's latest reveals ahead of the 2020 Geneva Motor Show have one thing in common: features lifted straight from VW's corporate cousin Porsche. As a result, we thought we’d ask the masses—What should VW raid from the Porsche parts bin next?

Motor1—If you want a bonkers twin-turbocharged Porsche 911, you buy a GT2 RS, right? Wielding a 3.8-liter flat-six with 700 horsepower (522 kilowatts), it’s one of the quickest street-legal cars you can buy and an absolute monster on a race track. By comparsion, the 520-hp (388-kW) GT3 RS is also a track superstar, and the soundtrack produced by its naturally aspirated 4.0-liter six at 9,000
rpm is borderline supernatural.

| | Autoblog—Porsche is recalling previous-generation Macan crossovers due to the potential risk of a fuel leak and the subsequent fire risk the leak could create. The recall includes 70,117 Macans, but Porsche believes only one percent of the vehicles have defective parts that will require action.

Reuters—German prosecutors searched sports carmaker Porsche’s offices on Wednesday as part of an ongoing probe into a diesel emissions scandal, German weekly Der Spiegel reported on Friday.

Business Insider—With its rich racing heritage and sports-car reputation, Porsche's made quite the name for itself. But this year, the company ran its first Super Bowl ad in 23 years in an effort to reach a new customer base.
