PCA—PCA created a club racing series focused on the competition and camaraderie associated with wheel-to-wheel racing and Porsches in 1992.
| | What started as a small
group of veteran racers from other series and their race cars, made from converted street cars, has morphed over the years. PCA Club Racing now features everything from air- and water-cooled 911s, 944s, 968s, Boxsters, and Caymans converted for racing, to the newest track-specific race machines from Porsche Motorsport.

PCA—A popular PCA member benefit is The Mart, the club’s classifieds section online and in each issue of Porsche Panorama. Mart Fresh is a bi-weekly column in which PCA media staff and guest contributors pick what they think
are the "freshest" Porsches currently available, and then attempt to explain their reasoning. Up this week are a 2016 Cayman GTS, 1991 911 Carrera 4, 2010 Panamera Turbo, and 1986 944 Turbo.
| | PCA—Porsche has been endurance racing for the majority of its existence, winning world championships and legendary races in record numbers. The race schedule is grueling, with races that can go on for up to 24 hours. Two of the
most famous are the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours Nürburgring, and Porsche decided to take us behind the scenes from last year’s events.

| | Pirelli—Pirelli offers you a chance to win round-trip flights to Las Vegas, two-night accommodation, and the driving experience with Dream Racing (one companion included):
- You (the winner) will have the opportunity to race a Porsche 911 Carrera S, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and Porsche 911 GT2 RS (5 laps per car). Then pick one of these 3 options: McLaren 720S, Lamborghini Performante, or Ferrari 488 Pista.
- Your companion will drive a 992-generation Porsche 911 Carrera S for 5 laps + 2 laps riding along with a professional driver.

and Driver—It's been more than two decades since a summer job landed my narrow butt in the single-piece seat of a 1994 Porsche Speedster. It was red. It made a cackling wail. It smelled like leather and oil and gasoline. It felt special and rare and like something that would last. All of those memories flooded back when the latest Porsche Speedster arrived for an instrumented test.

Car and Driver—Here's a simple test to determine if you suffer from attention-deficit disorder. Okay, you're still reading. That's a good sign. But you still might have the other attention-deficit disorder, the one where no one notices you or listens to you, no matter what.
Is there a cure? You could try eating a plane. But the Guinness Book of World Records says it's already been done.

| | PCA—In the midst of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, much of North America has screeched to a crawl as non-essential businesses close and governments tell citizens to physically distance themselves from other people. That also means Porsche Club of America Regions have had to cancel events and social gatherings, though at least one Region has been engaging its members in new ways.
The moment of inspiration came when President of the Potomac Region Mia Walsh thought, “What value can we provide our members?” So she started to communicate with her Region’s members digitally, through a new email address and YouTube.

Road & Track—With every major racing series delayed, more and more high-profile drivers are competing in simulated racing events. Because racecar drivers train on simulators already, it's an easy jump to participate in events like the eNASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series. And since 903,000 viewers watched it—a record-breaking figure for an Esports event—we figured some new-to-Esports
fans are now looking to get into the world of simulated racing.

Road & Track—If you're in the market for a modern Porsche 911 but still want to stand out at your local
Porsche Club of America meets, this might just be the car for you. It's a 2008 997-generation 911 Carrera S that's been given a custom center-seating position, similar to the design used on the McLaren F1. It's up for grabs right now on Bring a Trailer.

| | Motor1—In 1963, Porsche is one year shy away from introducing its very first 911 – a sports coupe that would shape the world and will cement its name in history. It was also the start of the air-cooled 911 era, which ran for more than three decades until 1998.

Autocar—What is it?
This, allegedly, is the year of the electric car. “Wait, wasn’t that last year, or the year before?” I hear you cry. Well, this time, we’re inclined to believe it. Or rather we were, were it not for a certain global pandemic forcing mass factory shutdowns and sending car company shares plunging at an alarming rate.
| | |
Hagerty—Remember the 991-gen evolution of the 911 Turbo S? Following the tradition, that car was considerably more expensive than a regular Turbo, the all-wheel-drive 911 variant that was already faster than most supercars. But once the 992 generation was on the horizon, Porsche also threw in a limited edition of 500 Turbo S Exclusive Series models with even more power, more carbon fiber, and
optional carbon wheels. To get 607 hp instead of “just” 580, you had to fork out $257,500, some $67,000 more than you did for the Turbo S.

Autosport—Porsche will undertake an evaluation of the new LMDh prototype category with a view to a return to the World Endurance Championship.
The German manufacturer curtailed its involvement in the LMP1 class of the WEC at the end of 2017 and hasn't competed for top class of North American sportscar racing since the LMP2 RS Spyder project of 2005-10.

Motor Trend—The truck world is about to look a lot different, thanks to boldly styled (and even electric!) pickups on the way, including the Rivian R1T, Hyundai Santa Cruz, and the real showstopper: Tesla's Cybertruck. Having seen all three in some form or another, we feel somewhat inoculated enough to consider this
wild-looking Porsche truck without doing a spit-take.

| | Autoblog—There’s been a lot of recent talk flying around about the possibility of a factory-built Porsche 911 hybrid. But more recent comments from the higher-ups at Stuttgart seem to have thrown cold water on that possibility, at least in the near term. Something about sacrilege and the existence of the all-electric Porsche Taycan they just spent a lot of time and resources creating.

Car and Driver—Some cars are for winning races. Some are for winning attention. The Porsche 718 Spyder is for winning souls.
It's not the quickest car in the 718 Boxster/Cayman family. Or the most structurally stiff. But what it lacks on the spec sheet, it returns in deep and meaningful allure. We spent two days firing through the Spyder's six-speed gearbox, kissing 8000 rpm with its flat-six until our ears rang, and bending Southern California's Sierra Nevada roads to our will. No turbos, just a manual transmission and a 414-hp 4.0-liter flat-six
with enough character to merit a documentary. What more could we ask for?

| | Motor1—March is often a special time of year for Porsche and its countless fans around the world. Though this year’s Geneva Motor Show was canceled, the event has seen more than a few notable Porsche debuts, not the least of which being the 918 Spyder Concept that appeared 10 years ago. Move back 25 years and you’ll find attention was on the then-new 993-series 911 Turbo, the last of the boosted air-cooled machines from Stuttgart. You probably
see where we’re going with this.
