| | PCA—As true hardcore car enthusiasts, most of us know the danger of perusing the likes of Craigslist and Facebook marketplace. What starts as a simple way to pass the time suddenly becomes a mission akin to saving homeless kittens. It was just such idle web surfing which led Rich Freeman to this 1987 Porsche 944.

PCA—It was just before Veteran’s Day 2019 when my rally navigator, Marsha Kane, sent out the “Batman” signal to all of her friends — Priceless Pets needs volunteers to walk the dogs on the holiday. Priceless Pets is a no-kill animal rescue operation that, like PCA, depends on
volunteers to fulfill its mission: Rescuing animals from a variety of unfortunate circumstances.
Marsha is a good friend of mine and has been volunteering there for a while now. She walks dogs, feeds them, does the dishes, and even does laundry. I decided I would go in just this once to see this place I had been hearing such good things about and get my fill of animal loving, too.

Last week, Sony unveiled its next-generation Playstation 5 as well as Gran Turismo 7, and Porsches finally are included as part of the game.

| | Autocar—To me at least, the GT4 category is where tin-top sports racing cars are at. Ten years ago it would have been GT3 but, not only are GT4s as quick today as were GT3s back then, you can also drop a million quid into GT3 racing with frightening ease and still find your best efforts come to nought when some snake-hipped, gimlet-eyed, no-prisoners professional pedaller barely out of short trousers decides that rather than lose a couple of
tenths going around you, he’ll just stick you in the barrier instead.

and Driver—A decade ago, if someone had said that the highest-performing Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette would not be available with a manual transmission but that a Porsche 911 Carrera S would, you'd get laughed out of the bar. We're pretty sure that Porsche and Volkswagen Group executives from that era wouldn't have taken that bet. The decline in the 911's manual take rate really started with the 997 refresh that brought dual-clutch automatic transaxles (PDK in Porsche-speak) to
the brand for the 2009 model year. Now, in its home market, only a single-digit percentage of 911 buyers opt to shift themselves. In the United States, it's a different story. Roughly one in five 911 buyers go for the stick.

Jalopnik—Among endurance racers, Mexican ace Pedro Rodriguez doesn’t really get his due. In fact, there’s never been a Jalopnik article solely dedicated to the man. But Rodriguez had a special talent. He knew how to drive in the rain. Like really well. And that’s what this blog is
all about.

| | CarBuzz—Before the Porsche Cayman was born, the Boxster did duty as the Porsche lite. It was seen as the Mazda MX-5 of the Porsche world, and that description wasn't too far off: It wasn't as fast as a 911 but offered excellent handling. Enter the Cayman; this hardtop sports car, that sits below the 911, also started off as a fun little sports car that offered 911 thrills at a lower asking price. But what happens when the junior starts
outgrowing its older brother?

& Company—We’ve always been inspired by the things, people and places we admire, so for our latest limited-edition pieces, we decided to travel back to the 1960’s era car races.
From the sweet revving sound, to the exciting smell of petrol and burnt tires, to Le Man 24-hour race, where bold and fearless drivers race the unbelievably fast cars. This is where, everywhere is quite except you hear the extremely loud engines and your own heartbeat. Hands sweating, teeth grinding, eyes wide open and heads turning for 24 hours.

Randy Pobst via YouTube—In this video we put the Porshe cayman head to head against the Chevy Camaro in the battle of the 2.0 liter turbos. We test speed, braking power and handling, with a drag race, a 0-100-0 race, and even a slalom. There might be a donut or two mixed in
somewhere.

| | Engineering Explained via YouTube—Porsche Surface Coated Brakes have a thin layer of tungsten carbide on the outside of the rotor. This tungsten carbide layer means no rust, significantly less brake dust, and they don't have brake fade typical of cast-iron brake rotors. The tungsten carbide layer is applied using high velocity oxygen fuel spray, and provides a rotor that lasts about 30% longer than traditional iron rotors. Better performance
comes at a price, but they're about 1/3 the cost of carbon ceramic rotors. These PSCB rotors come standard on the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Cayenne Coupe Turbo. Check out the video to learn all about Porsche's world-first brakes!

Autoblog—"Get action!" That was Teddy Roosevelt's cure for what by modern standards would've likely been diagnosed as depression and attention deficit disorder. Basically, it meant do things and go places, which for him was bounding across the Badlands of Dakota territory, going
off to war in Cuba and casting off onto a near-fatal quest through the Amazon rainforest – just to name a few adventures in what was indeed a life of near non-stop action.

Motor1—A grand touring car is supposed to be able to blast down the highway at high speeds while still keeping the occupants comfortable. Judging by this video from AutoTopNL, the Porsche Panamera GTS is able to achieve these requirements with ease.

TopSpeed—Back in the 1990s, Porsche 911 sales were so slow that the German carmaker had to develop an SUV, the Cayenne, to return to profitability. Come 2020, and the Porsche 911 is the most profitable car in the world. According to Bloomberg, the 911 accounted for nearly
30 percent of total Porsche earnings in 2019, even though it made up only 11 percent of the company’s sales.

CarBuzz—Unveiled back in March, the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S is the current range-topper of the new 992-generation Porsche 911 range. With customer deliveries now underway, videos are emerging online showing owners recording themselves taking the potent sports car for a spin. From
YouTube channel AutoTopNL, this video puts you in the driver's seat of a 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S being pushed to its absolute limits on an unrestricted section of the German autobahn.

Porsche Newsroom—Some people start telling a story, and all of a sudden you’re smack in the middle of it with thunder and lightning and hail all around—even though you might actually be sitting at your desk at home. Jim Goodlett is one of those people. He drives a Safari Rally 911
through clouds of dust near his home in Savannah in the state of Georgia, and we wanted to settle into the bucket seat next to him and feel what it’s like when he heads off-road in the 1978 Porsche 911 SC. The flight was already booked—but then came the coronavirus crisis.

Motor1—The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is official – at least we've seen several spy shots to prove that. Plus, Stuttgart has already confirmed the all-electric wagon's launch towards the end of this year.

| | Hindustan Times—Advancements in automotive technology have ensured that maintaining cabin temperature automatically inside a closed vehicle is hardly rocket science. But how can technology answer the same question in an open-top car where the outside elements are at full play?
