Cayenne Coupe adds a little extra spice to the SUV segment
PCA—During this great automotive realignment of the 21st century, there have been answers to questions that, clearly, nobody asked. Witness the Range Rover Evoque and Nissan Murano convertible SUVs. Happily,
Porsche left it to Range Rover and Nissan to make fools of them-selves in this ridiculous, failure-to-launch segment. The SUV coupe, on the other hand, has gained a foothold.

MotorTrend—Has the Porsche Panamera really been on the market for 10 years? According to Porsche, the answer is yes. And we have to say, we like what the big sedan has become in its second generation. If
you're in the market for a large luxury sedan and still care about handling, the Panamera is the one to get. We're finally on board with the styling, too, after being forced for years to put up with the first-generation Panamera's awkward looks. It was even a 2018 MotorTrend Car of the Year finalist.

| | Car and Driver—With the incredibly engaging Macan, Porsche proves that a crossover can drive like a sports car. Its spellbinding performance and unflappable poise are the primary reasons we named the 2018
model to our 10Best Trucks and SUVs list. Underneath its curvaceous shell are two available engines—a base 248-hp turbocharged four-cylinder and a turbocharged V-6 making 348 horsepower in the S model. Every Macan is equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

PCA—When my Porsche Cayman S was in for some work (including an odd rust spot on the front-left of the roof) the dealership service manager asked if I wanted a Macan or a Panamera as my loaner. For me the
choice was obvious, give me the Macan. I’ve driven the Panamera, and it is lovely, but I like small cars and the 2018 Macan, being 14 inches shorter, is my “Goldilocks” pick in the Porsche four-door lineup. Little did I know I’d be spending nearly a month with it.

Road & Track—Back in 2002, Porsche did something that, at the time, was unthinkable. It began selling an SUV called the Cayenne. Such a major departure from tradition was a huge risk, but it paid off, and the Cayenne quickly became the best-selling vehicle in Porsche's lineup.

| | PCA—It’s the Porsche Cayenne’s sweet sixteen this year, a bit older if you count the initial unveiling of the SUV by Porsche to much whispering in 2002. PCA is now launching its first officially sanctioned
SUV Tour at Parade from Boca Raton next month. Parade registration closes on Sunday, June 23rd. You have four days left to register and make history together if you bring an SUV to Parade. Yes, in celebration, any SUV or 4x4 Tow Vehicle driven by members are welcome. The mantra of the SUV Parade Tour is to welcome all members and their 4x4 models. Our goal - Let’s have fun off road.

Car Fanatic via YouTube—Have a dirty engine bay? Well, it's super easy to clean it. All you need is a water hose, a few brushes, towels, and dishwashing soap or all-purpose cleaner. I'll show you on my 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
| | |
| | Road & Track—Porsche has built SUVs for nearly 20 years, yet people still complain about them. They complain that they aren't real Porsches and that they tarnish the brand. Yet, without SUVs, these people
likely wouldn't be talking about Porsche in the present tense.
|
Motor Authority—Behold the production version of 2015's stunning Mission E concept: the 2020 Porsche Taycan. The car is a small fastback sedan with an electric powertrain, and now its development is almost
complete. A reveal is expected in September at the 2019 Frankfurt International Motor Show, meaning we'll likely see the car arrive in showrooms as a 2020 model.

| | Professional Car Washing and Detailing—Any car will attract dust and dirt, whether parked in a garage or on the
road. Dirt includes mud, bird droppings, rain marks, bugs and even tree sap. What is worse is the variety of industrial pollutants which cannot even be seen but are likely to affect a vehicle’s paint.

SlashGear via YouTube—The 2019 Cayenne features Porsche's newest infotainment system, with a Full HD 12.3-inch touchscreen that can be heavily customized according to your needs.

| | PCA—Executive Director Vu Nguyen owns a 2006 Porsche Cayenne S, and after being exposed to the elements for more than a decade, his stock headlights were in a sorry state. We decided to restore them using
Griot's Garage's Headlight Restoration Kit, which clears up the foggy lenses, and put in new Xenon bulbs. Watch the video to see how it's done, plus before and after comparisons.

IMG Filmworks via YouTube—How to properly clean Porsche 955 Cayenne Base S and Turbo Drains. In this video I show you how to clean the drains on the Porsche Cayenne to avoid water backing up inside your foot
wells and shorting out your main wiring harness.

| | EverydayDriver via YouTube—After another winter, we revisit Todd's Porsche Cayenne and discuss its reliability and ownership compared to Paul's 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you have questions about owning a
used Cayenne like this, let us know and we'll try to address them.
|
Car and Driver—The 2019 Sport Turismo wagon proffers the Porsche Panamera's hatchback style in a more versatile package—versatile being a relative term, because the Sport Turismo's cargo hold is among the
smallest in its class. Offered exclusively with all-wheel drive, the Sport Turismo is available with several distinct powertrains, including a gasoline-electric plug-in hybrid and a high-powered twin-turbo V-8.
| | |
| | PCA—Porsche had long considered adding a four-door to its lineup and even created the Type 989 sedan concept in the late '80s. Yet the automaker would not produce its first series production sedan, the
Panamera, until nearly two decades later. The Panamera came about because Porsche's foray into the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) market with the Cayenne was a huge success and it thought a sedan would fit in with its existing model lineup.
|
Autotrader—Last week, I unveiled my latest crazy purchase to the world: a 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 144,000 miles, which cost me only $6,100 -- making it the cheapest turbocharged Porsche available in
the United States. After spending very little money to fully sort the Cayenne, I was eager to prove its viability -- so I planned to take it on a 1,000-mile work trip.
