PCA—Picture this in your mind’s eye, you are running some perfect back roads, the sun flits between the trees like an old 35mm film reel needing to be changed or like the shutter of the
lens – light and shadow, shadow and light, flickering off your tinted sunglasses. The road bends right, dialing in just the proper amount of camber, the suspension compressing a bit as the car takes a set just as it reached the apex of the turn.

| | Car and Driver—The 2021 Porsche Panamera has set a new Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for executive-class cars, a category used in Europe
that also includes the Mercedes-Benz S-class and the BMW 7-series. The new Panamera, likely a powerful 620-hp Turbo S model, lapped the 12.9-mile course in 7:29.81 with Porsche test driver Lars Kern behind the wheel.

Motor Biscuit —As an avid sports car enthusiast, I feel like I’m overly critical of many SUV
options. For me, an SUV has to offer something more than practicality to earn a spot in my driveway. As much as I enjoyed daily driving a Lotus Elise, it was far from the most practical thing, and it left me in tough situations on a pretty consistent basis. There really isn’t anything that compares to daily driving an exotic car, but at the end of the day, it’s important to at least have one practical car — which we did not.

|
InsideEVs—Reviewers have been raving on about how good the Porsche Taycan is to drive and thanks to this video shot on the Nurburgring we can really
understand why. It shows a Taycan Turbo S, the top of the range and most powerful model, being driven quite vigorously and making light work of any and all cars it encounters. It’s really remarkable how pointy the front end is in this car, especially given how heavy it is.

| | Jalopnik—This one isn’t for me. Of all the types of cars currently being manufactured, the sporty crossover might be the only one that I find
totally unappealing. It’s a type of car that I’d never under any circumstances buy for myself. I don’t get it. But, that doesn’t mean Porsche can’t make an amazing sporty crossover. It can. In fact, the Cayenne GTS is one of those.
|
TheDrive—Ever since the unveiling of the first Porsche Macan, car enthusiasts have doubted its worth. It's time to fix that, and I know how. On one hand, the Macan is still a Porsche. It
drives far better than a compact luxury crossover ever should. It's even pretty fun on a race track. Try that in a stock Toyota RAV4. On the other hand, it's a crossover.

| | Motor Authority —Porsche's second-generation Panamera is about to come in for a subtle facelift as it reaches the midway point in its life cycle, as
evidenced by camouflaged prototypes spotted in the wild. The latest prototypes are for the Panamera's Sport Turismo wagon body style. Earlier testers showed the regular liftback sedan. We were recently invited by Porsche to test them both.
|
The Car Gossip—Anyone who can afford to blow a six-figure sum on a car is most certainly well-off, but say you have that kind of money lying around, should you want to go electric and
buy something like a Porsche Taycan? A rival to the Tesla Model S, the range counts the 4S, Turbo and Turbo S, and even the base model is loaded with gear and capable of giving supercars a run for their money.

| | AutoGuide—Earlier this year the German brand announced the 718 Boxster and Cayman GTS 4.0 models, with larger, naturally aspirated flat-six hearts
plucked from the GT4 and Spyder. Now the Cayenne is getting a similar treatment, with a 4.0-liter engine of its own for GTS duty. This one packs eight cylinders however, and a set of turbos. It’s essentially a detuned version of the lump from the Cayenne Turbo, dropping about 90 ponies from the pack but still producing an ample 453 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque.
|
The Globe and Mail—The vaguely regal red, black and gold crest that screams “Porsche” in capital letters on the hood does a lot of the selling on the Macan SUV. In case you missed it,
the brand name is also writ large across the trunk. That brand name is why anyone with a bank account that can stretch to afford the lease payment will probably consider this particular compact SUV over the legions of other similarly-sized and similarly-equipped rivals. The brand is strong with this one.

| | Car and Driver—It's a year of big debuts for the German auto industry, including a rare overhaul for the Mercedes-Benz S-class. While that Benz
will undoubtedly go all-out on luxury, the refreshed Porsche Panamera sharpens its focus on performance. Sure, there are some comfort and convenience upgrades, but who cares about Apple CarPlay when there's a 620-hp Turbo S? And that's not even the most powerful Panamera in the quiver.
|
SuperCars—Hi everyone. I figured this would be a good time for another blog post where I can provide some updates, as well as a tip for those of you who may have had problems with the
home charger system. So with regards to the former, I am now at about 3,800 km on the odometer and I’ve yet to encounter any glaring issues with the car. I continue to find the driving dynamics and overall character of the car quite mesmeric. I truly feel like I am in my own special zone when driving the Taycan; its heightened zen-like sensory outputs allowing my mind to remain focused, while also keeping my heart at ease.

| | Motor Biscuit—In terms of reliability and off-road capability, few SUVs have the Toyota 4Runner’s reputation. But if you really want the best, you’ll need to spring for
the TRD Pro model, which is almost $50k. Plus, while the 4Runner may be reliable, even the latest model can be a bit too old-school for some. However, the used market has a solution. For the price of a new 4Runner TRD Pro, you can get a luxury SUV that’s also capable of going off-pavement: the Porsche Cayenne.

GT Spirit—Okay, perhaps Porsche should have skipped the camouflage: It draws more attention to our Panamera than it would
have received without the attention-grabbing stickers. We are behind the wheel of the facelifted Porsche Panamera, to be launched in late August; it is fine-tuned in every respect – and still by far the sportiest entry in the luxury car segment. The Panamera has two faces: Built in two wheelbases and with a Sport Turismo station wagen derivative, it offers all the room of an Audi A8, a BMW 7-series or a Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

| | ZigWheels—“The sonorousness you would expect from a V8, flavored with a dash of GT racing,” said Markus Sitzler, Team
Lead Vehicle Periphery SUV-Engines. Compared with the previous sports exhaust system, the tailpipes are now located at the outer edges to make it even throatier than before. This is due to the special internal structure of the silencer, providing a vivid acoustic foundation to the sporty appearance of the 4.0-liter eight-cylinder engine.

| | U.S. News—Porsche, one of the world’s most-venerable sports car makers, shocked its legion of loyalists when it debuted its first SUV, the midsize Cayenne, in 2002. The idea of a
Porsche-branded SUV – let alone any model having four doors – seemed counter to the brand’s storied roots. The market eventually proved the vehicle’s naysayers wrong, and even brands like Maserati and Lamborghini started to sell performance-oriented SUVs.

Micah Muzio via YouTube—Thanks to my day job at Kelley Blue Book, I drive and review lots of cars. This 2020 Porsche Taycan is one of them. The Taycan is Porsche’s first fully-electric
car. It’s also a sleek, 4-door with plenty of cargo space. How does it fare as a family car? In this review, me, my wife, and our daughter examine the 2020 Taycan’s positives and negatives from a family perspective.

| | CNET Road Show—While it's easy to be tempted by the company's fastest offerings, the truth is, Porsche instills gobs of brilliance into even its most-basic models. That's especially true
with the 718 and 911 sports cars, but it extends to Porsche's four-door models, as well.
